I use construction paper for everything, Tru-Ray has a wonderful selection of colors and the "Bright colors" pack is loaded with all my favorites. The paper is great quality and cuts and folds very well. I use the black for lots and lots of oil pastel projects. With 120+ students I go through a lot of black paper and Tru-Ray is a terrific quality/price balance.

When purchasing this paper in 24x36, take in consideration that heavier paper might be a better choice. I use this with students in art classes, and found that this paper is a little too light for the regular work we do in class, using various mediums.

We used the Try-Ray Construction Paper in our 3rd annual Ruskin Big Draw, offering a month of free art class to the community. We had a group of ages 9-12 making Matisse style collage and the outcome was fantastic! The children were very quiet and into their work. It's nice to give them great quality products to work with.

i liked everything about it except it's weight. billed as a heavyweight paper, at 76 lbs, it's really not all that heavy. for standard school projects it will work fine, but for some other applications, it may not be quite styrdy enough.

I teach art to my kindergarten students and Tru-Ray is the only paper I like to use. It is thicker than most other brands I have tried and it holds up really well. The colors are much brighter and more saturated, too. (Red actually looks like red and not pink!) I recommend this construction paper to every teacher I know! I am a school teacher and you will never use any other construction paper again once you've tried tru-ray! It won't fade, it's bright and our projects always turn out amazing. The best part is that it's not like regular construction paper. You can put it through the copy machine (the by-pass) and it won't harm the machine or jam!
