Get a custom look frame for a fraction of the price. Frame artwork, photographs, and more to any full inch size from 8” to 40”. These durable anodized aluminum mouldings are the same quality utilized by custom picture framers and are easy to assemble.
Two kits are required to assemble a rectangular frame. The beveled face of each moulding section measures 5/16” in width with a depth of 7/16”. The resulting frame can hold a print, protective glazing, and up to two mats, one of which acts as the backing.
To create a custom frame, simply measure the overall height and width from the outside edges of your work. Choose one size kit for length and one size for width, and assemble your frame with the included hardware. Corner angles, eyelet hangers, and spring clips are included with the kit. Cut mats to full inch sizes so that they fit snugly behind the beveled front face. You'll need to provide two mats, glass or glazing material, picture wire, and backing paper (to protect the mat) if desired.
Frame Depth — The depth of a frame refers to the depth of the frame's rabbet (the cut-out area behind the frame's molding that holds your artwork in place). To find a frame that will accommodate your artwork, measure the depth of the artwork, including any matting or mounting materials, and order a frame with a depth that is, at a minimum, the same as that measured depth.
Frame Dimensions — Frames are sized by the opening, not by the outside of the molding. To determine the size of frame to order, measure the outside of your artwork, including mat, and order that size frame. The frame will overlap your artwork ¼" all the way around, so your artwork will fit nicely behind the frame's molding.

Comments about Nielsen Bainbridge Frame Kits:
These were not the frames I wanted but had to order because all the other sectionals were Out of Stock. I was disappointed I couldn't get the ones I wanted. Usually Blick has a large assortment to choose from, but this doesn't seem as true as it used to be.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Used them to frame my paintings on flat canvas boards. Frames look good, fairly easy to assemble (there's a learning curve) and great value.

I am doing self-framing and was thrilled to find your product available in the silver and gold finish. Local stores only have black and wood.

Easy to assemble and handle, even for larger sizes. Only a screw driver needed. Would like slightly better instructions. For instance there are four small rubber squares and they never mention where to put them. I put them near the four corners so the metal frame doesn't damage the wall.
Fantastic customer service
I self-frame quite a few prints during my event season and regularly buy materials from Blick. This time around, they were out of the usual wood frame bits I order so I went with the metal versions instead. The delivery window was very tight and I was in a panic when only half my order showed up. One call to customer service solved the problem and they had the balance of my order to me the next day, allowing me to complete framing and be ready to pack up the next day. Simply fantastic! Great product too. Thanks Dick Blick!
Great product for professional looking frames.

I frame most of my watercolor work myself and like the Nielsen frames because they fit together nicely and look professionally done. I cut my on foam board, mats, and use linen tape for hinging.
i would buy this product again.

While there are other brands out there, the Nielsen Bainbridge frame kits are simply the best. They are the standard for quality in kits available and, the convenience of online ordering from Blick is a bonus. I won't use any other brand of kits.
Exactly what I've been looking for!
from Brenham TX
I used to buy this type of frame in craft stores but could no longer find it. This is the only wayI could frame a 24 inch square picture without getting a custom frame. What a deal in comparison! And the price was as good or better than 15 years ago.
