Get a custom look frame for a fraction of the price. Frame artwork, photographs, and more to any full inch size from 8” to 40”. These durable anodized aluminum mouldings are the same quality utilized by custom picture framers and are easy to assemble.
Two kits are required to assemble a rectangular frame. The beveled face of each moulding section measures 5/16” in width with a depth of 7/16”. The resulting frame can hold a print, protective glazing, and up to two mats, one of which acts as the backing.
To create a custom frame, simply measure the overall height and width from the outside edges of your work. Choose one size kit for length and one size for width, and assemble your frame with the included hardware. Corner angles, eyelet hangers, and spring clips are included with the kit. Cut mats to full inch sizes so that they fit snugly behind the beveled front face. You'll need to provide two mats, glass or glazing material, picture wire, and backing paper (to protect the mat) if desired.
Frame Depth — The depth of a frame refers to the depth of the frame's rabbet (the cut-out area behind the frame's molding that holds your artwork in place). To find a frame that will accommodate your artwork, measure the depth of the artwork, including any matting or mounting materials, and order a frame with a depth that is, at a minimum, the same as that measured depth.
Frame Dimensions — Frames are sized by the opening, not by the outside of the molding. To determine the size of frame to order, measure the outside of your artwork, including mat, and order that size frame. The frame will overlap your artwork ¼" all the way around, so your artwork will fit nicely behind the frame's molding.

Comments about Nielsen Bainbridge Frame Kits:
While there are other brands out there, the Nielsen Bainbridge frame kits are simply the best. They are the standard for quality in kits available and, the convenience of online ordering from Blick is a bonus. I won't use any other brand of kits.

Exactly what I've been looking for!
from Brenham TX
I used to buy this type of frame in craft stores but could no longer find it. This is the only wayI could frame a 24 inch square picture without getting a custom frame. What a deal in comparison! And the price was as good or better than 15 years ago.

I use these frames for my photographs and have never had a problem with them. They arrive quickly and securely packaged with no dents or scratches. A great value compared to other sources I've checked.
Excellent value and worked perfectly
I needed a total of 4 frames each 22"x22". No other source could come close to the price I obtained through Blick. Frames arrived quickly, in perfect condition, and worked exactly as I had hoped.
Exactly what we needed

When my office moved, I was given the task of framing some previously unframed pictures that now have tattered edges. The pictures are 36" x 36", which proved challenging but this was the perfect solution. The frames were very easy to put together, and now our pictures look so much nicer. I marked the quality as "average" compared to similar, competitive alternatives because I wasn't able to find an alternative solution for the size of the pictures short of taking them to be custom framed. I am extremely satisfied with the product received, and the reasonable price was a huge plus.
I bought a silver 20x30 frame...great product....

I have been ordering Nielsen for years..

They have changed the hanging device for wire hanging. I couldn't get it in the track. Had to use a plier and bend it to fit. My advice is that the old device shd be replaced by previous one. I find metal frames lighter when traveling to various exhibits. Most customers prefer to getting their own style of framing. I cannot accommodate this desire.
Well-manufactured frame kits!
By Linda D
I bought 4 kits in my last purchase to make a 16"x20" frame and a 22"x24" frame. This was not clear in the item description, but each kit comes with hardware (2 corner braces, 2 corner spacers, 5 springs, 1 cheap foam 'bumper' with adhesive backing, and 1 hanging bracket). The only tool required is a flat head screwdriver. Note that the dimensions of the frame are unique so you need a Nielsen hanging bracket to fit into a Nielsen frame. I was impressed with the quality of the frame, the pieces fit together very well. The assembly instructions provided are very minimal so I looked up additional instructions with pictures to find the best way to insert the hanging bracket. This was my first time assembling any sort of frame by myself and I was able to purchase the glazing, mat board, and frame segments all through Blick. The total cost was to frame my pieces was less than the price of a basic frame at any of the local craft chain stores in my area and far less expensive than paying for a custom frame.

Product arrived quicker than expected. Packed well, and no mistakes. This is my second purchase from this company, and am quite pleased with the outcome. I will be ordering more materials soon. Thank you, Keith Stillwagon.
