Now it's easy to bring the classic presence of custom wood frames to your artwork with these Ayous Wood Frame Kits. They are crafted of imported Italian woods and designed with a contemporary flat top profile for an attractive gallery look. The perfect depth for framing canvas, photographs, posters, or other artwork.

Kit includes one pair of wood sections and two plastic wedges. Choose two kits to create the custom frame you need. Easy assembly, no tools required.

Dimensions for the Nielsen Bainbridge Ayous Wood Frame Kits are as follows:

3/4" across the face.
1-1/8" depth.
1-1/4" profile depth.

Frame Depth — The depth of a frame refers to the depth of the frame's rabbet (the cut-out area behind the frame's molding that holds your artwork in place). To find a frame that will accommodate your artwork, measure the depth of the artwork, including any matting or mounting materials, and order a frame with a depth that is, at a minimum, the same as that measured depth.

Note — Frames are sized by the opening, not by the outside of the molding. To determine the size of frame to order, measure the outside of your artwork, including mat, and order that size frame. The frame will overlap your artwork ¼" all the way around, so your artwork will fit nicely behind the frame's molding.

Worst machining ever

The machining on the corner keys on these frames is so bad I could do better with a pocket knife. The only way I was able to make the frame usable was to band clamp it together and try to straighten out the corner joints. And all for a price that was considerably higher than cut to order frames from the competition.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Could not be easier

It only took minutes to assemble each frame. The miters are true, so I did not need a square; just add a dab of glue and tap in the provided key with a rubber mallet. I will use a marker to cover a slightly exposed bit of unstained wood.

Great frame and very versatile. Can be used for many different mediums because of the deep rabbet. Thin so it doesn't take away from the artwork. Easy to put together and most of the time the pieces go together perfectly. Plus you can have any size frame for a fraction of the cost of a custom frame

I was disappointed with the quality, frame sections did not fit together as well as they should have. Seemed warped and when trying to adjust for it, the frame section splintered.

I purchased a kit for a 20"x26" frame. The frame did not connect together well and once it was together, I noticed one of the 26" pieces was warped. I have now separated the pieces and am trying to straighten the warped piece. Regardless of whether I get this successfully put together, I will not use this product again. Far too expensive for so much work.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
