Now it's easy to bring the classic presence of custom wood frames to your artwork with these Ayous Wood Frame Kits. They are crafted of imported Italian woods and designed with a contemporary flat top profile for an attractive gallery look. The perfect depth for framing canvas, photographs, posters, or other artwork.

Kit includes one pair of wood sections and two plastic wedges. Choose two kits to create the custom frame you need. Easy assembly, no tools required.

Dimensions for the Nielsen Bainbridge Ayous Wood Frame Kits are as follows:

3/4" across the face.
1-1/8" depth.
1-1/4" profile depth.

Frame Depth — The depth of a frame refers to the depth of the frame's rabbet (the cut-out area behind the frame's molding that holds your artwork in place). To find a frame that will accommodate your artwork, measure the depth of the artwork, including any matting or mounting materials, and order a frame with a depth that is, at a minimum, the same as that measured depth.

Note — Frames are sized by the opening, not by the outside of the molding. To determine the size of frame to order, measure the outside of your artwork, including mat, and order that size frame. The frame will overlap your artwork ¼" all the way around, so your artwork will fit nicely behind the frame's molding.

Nice looking frames but three of five didn't join properly and were left with corners misaligned and gaps between corners which should have been tight. Not a very impressive presentation for my work.

I framed 6 30 X 30 paintings on canvas. The frames were nice and simple looking, but the joints were not always perfectly lined up and it would be better if they were painted front and back because when the joint didn't perfectly line up, you could see a line of the unpainted part.
They did the job- i just painted the joint! but they could be better.

Great idea, lousy execution. Some frame sections looked perfectly normal in the package but when put together made a totally useless warped frame. Blick made refund/reorder a breeze but had to exchange twice and still ended up with messy corners. Wouldn't mind paying a bit more for better quality. I would order again since they are the only frame sections for stretched canvas I've found that come in natural wood color.

If you find a corner that is askew, use a little sandpaper and touch it up with a crayon or some matching color. It won't show....these are very nice presentation frames for small works. Put the screw eyes in the stretcher bars because the frame's wood is soft.

I took a print of a Humming Bird Picture to get it framed at a local shop. The cost was going to be over 4 times the cost of the print. So, I ordered this frame kit from the Dick Blick web site and my husband framed it for less than half the cost. Looks great.

Poor fit-up. Accuracy of alignement holes poor and one alignemt pin actually deformed trying to glue it square. Won't buy it again!

Easy to assemble, miters appear to be true.
Does need glue on the mitered corners, don't depend solely on the plastic plugs for strength in the assembly.
Wood is soft, so that take into account when attaching hanging hardware, and what you frame with this product.
However, the end product does look fantastic, and saved me many dollars over doing it myself.
