I'm a mixed media artist and art journaler and wanted to try a variety of mulberry papers before committing to a larger package. This scrap pack was perfect because it had a variety of colors, types and sizes of papers, all of which will be useful to me.

I make small (9x12" and under) mixed media collages and these kits are ideal for having a wide variety of colored and textured papers available. Only complaint(minor) is that it would be nice to have a few larger sized pieces included in the mix, say 4x6. Nice variety of papers though and suits most of my purposes. Great way to sample different papers, I could never afford full size pieces of so many varied papers. Also a great way for newbies to see whats out there!

I like mulberry paper and had expected to use this assortment to get additional colors for my collage art. However, most all the pieces were ugly orange, red & yellow colors. There was also some black so if it was advertised as Halloween it might be useful to someone. The price was low so it isn't really worth paying postage to return it but I would surely never buy it again or recommend it to friends. There is lots of it, so for the price I can see why someone might like it, but it's virtually useless to me.

I received a nice stack of paper scraps, and I was able to test out the papers because I got a good amount of variety as well as more than one of each. The paper itself was great for drawing and held up to mediums like marker, color pencil, pencil and ink, as well as washes.

I ordered three packs in order to have a good assortment of paper scraps to use in my mixed-media collage work. I was pleased with the variety. Although each pack does have some repetition, the packs were different enough from each other to be useful. One thing I was disappointed about, though -- In the example, they show a patterned paper (dots) and a lace paper. Although I didn't expect my pack to look just like the example pack, I did hope for some patterned pieces. No such luck. Most of them are solid mulberries, sheer with the filaments running through them. There were some that had inclusions, like small leaves, but I was sooo hoping for some dots or checks!

The description doesn't really say how much you get, so I weight one of the packets: 2.22 ounces, just for the curious.
