Moulage and Posmoulage Materials

Moulage and Posmoulage are for making perfect life masks or casts. No expensive equipment is necessary. Just heat Moulage slowly in a double boiler to 115°F (46°C). Do not use an aluminum pan or utensils as it will cause a chemical reaction that will ruin the Moulage.

Apply warm with a brush and palette knife. Moulage captures minute details. The mold may be cut up, remelted, and reused 50 to 100 times. Store molds in airtight containers to prevent drying out. Instructions are included.

Instructions are available on request. Please contact our Product Information Department at (800) 933-2542. Call between 8:00 am and 5:30 pm CST, Monday through Friday. Or email us at info@dickblick.com.

Moulage Hardener — Use 4–6 grams of hardener per pound of moulage to make an especially tough mold .4 oz (11 g). May still be remelted if hardener is added. Use sparingly.

Posmoulage — Posmoulage is for making positive casts from negative moulage mold. It has a soft, wax-like consistency, and can be remelted for reuse. Instructions are included. Comes in a 1 lb (454 g) plastic jar.
