MOO Carve boasts a revolutionary PVC surface that’s softer and safer to use than linoleum — and also latex-free!
Use MOO Carve Carving Blocks for stamp carving, printmaking, and any other applications where you'd normally use linoleum. They're a neutral light gray color that's easy to work with, and the thickness allows for deep-carve cutting on either one or both sides of the block.
MOO Carve readily accepts transfer designs, or you can simply draw directly on the surface. It can be cut into smaller pieces without crumbling or breaking apart.

packaging left wrinkles on the surface of the material
By art teacher
from western NC
A friend ordered these for me on her order and I found that the plastic wrapping left indentations on the surface which show up when printing. It seemed to carve okay but its basically useless due to the creases on the surface. Since the master carve blocks went out of production I have not found a comparatively satisfying product.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I carved one of the big blocks today and it is perfect. Easy to carve and use. Now my personal alphabet looks amazing incorporated into my original artwork.

The best rubber print block material
I am new to these rubber printing blocks and have tried many. Moo blocks are the easiest to cut while, at the same time, the ones that allow for better precision than the rest. If you're new to printing with them you might invest in some of the less expensive printing blocks just to allow yourself to explore and play, then move to these as they are pricey but worth it.
Very easy to use

This carves smoothly and does not crumble.
Great Customer Service

I saw a pottery technique in one of my magazines and it referenced Dick Blick as the source for the material I needed. After looking on line, I was still unsure if the item I needed was the right one. The customer service rep was completely familiar with the product and helped me pick the exact item I needed.

This stuff is fragile and crumbles. Not able to get the detail I want. I've got 30 year old Mars Stadler erasers that I carved and they are still better than this stuff. I won't use it again.

Extremely easy to carve
from Waltham, mass
I would give five stars for the ease of carving. Unfortunately creases are present on blocks when you take the packaging off and these lines are visible when you stamp. I've tried sanding out the lines before carving my designs but it doesn't help. I hope the manufacturer can resolve this issue, maybe packaging with another material that doesn't press wrinkles into stamp.I thought I finally found the perfect block to carve but I am left disappointed

These are by far the best blocks I have used. They cut so easily, hold details, and are thick enough to carve on both sides.

I've tried Soft Kut, Speedball blocks and the Utrecht house brand (terribly crumbly, don't waste your $). THIS IS THE BEST. A little more expensive, but it carves like butter and is solid enough that you won't have to mount your stamps. You can even carve both sides, because the blocks are firm and thick. The Blick Soft Kut is comparable in terms of ease of carving, but if I'm giving stamps as gifts, I always use Moo.
