Where Is The "Regular" Nozzle?
from Santa Rosa
Comments about Montana Spray Caps:
It is fantastic that there are so many different nozzles for this paint, a truly professional product. The only problem I have is that there is no "Regular" nozzle sold separately (the default black cap with orange nozzle, included with every can of paint). I've only had a couple of casualties with the regular nozzles, but it would be nice to have a few spares. Otherwise, great product and very useful!

I can clean the caps after use, or not. They just keep woking either way. They come off easily enough with a rubbery swatch for changing cans. I need more!

Fat coverage and thin lines
By John smith

fatest cap covered quickly and abundant. The thinnest cap is accurate and lines are smooth. Can't get thin enough for me though.

Spray build up with Level 6 Ultra Fat Cap
By Product Tester
from Oakland, CA
Spraying with Montana Gold using Level 6 Ultra Fat Cap. Note: This is the only cap I have tested with. I sprayed a surface in the horizontal position. This means with the nozzle pointed down and can approx 12"-15" from surface with 50% overlapping. The problem appears to be with using a fat cap on a low pressure can in horizontal position. Looks to me like the paint will start to build up around the nozzle then will finally drip/or blown off the cap onto the surface below by the paint's vehical & gravity. On examination of my test surface are several round dropplets of paint. This will require further investgation.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Merchant response: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with these caps. Flooding under the cap usually indicates a change in pressure in the can, which can happen if the can gets warm. Best thin caps
To us this cap is simple take you stock cap off and place the pin in side the hole snuggly This cap is great for sketching your piece, doing line work, outlines and detail work like shine and shadowing.

These caps were very useful. I enjoyed using them on my montana spray cans. They also work well with different can types like mtn 94, ironlak, or molotow belton, but i prefer using them on montana gold. Overall, it is a good cap. *Before using skinny caps I would recommend you shake can well and spray the can a bit with a fat cap to prevent as much clogging in skinnier caps.
