It's a great product!

Comments about Molotow Grafx Art Masking Liquid Pump Markers:
I had trouble using it at first because I applied too thinly so it was so hard to remove. There were blue patches left on the watercolor paper but after much erasing they were able to come off. On my second try, I managed to squeeze in more during application (I made sure there's sufficient liquid covering a surface) so removing it was much easier. After knowing how to properly apply it, I must say that it helped me a lot in most of my paintings. Great purchase!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Best thing I've found
Best masking liquid application I've found so far, but not perfect. Don't leave it on for longer than 2 days and don't use it on rough paper.
Not the best
By Millers cave art

First of all I order two of these markers one 2 mm and one 4 mm. The 4 mm had dried out and I could not get it to flow. The 2 mm worked fine, but it seemed to be putting down a very thin layer of masking so i kept pumping more out to get a thicker layer and went over thinner areas. When I removed the masking there were some areas that it did not protect and I had to trash my drawing.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Newer Way to Mask
By The forever art student

For me, using this masking pen was new. I find it works for small areas, but does go on thin so paint can sneak in under it some places. It is cleaner to have the masking liquid in the pen (no brush to clean), but for larger areas I still like the masking liquid in the jar that you apply with a brush. The pen is also better than the brush for writing out words if you are making greeting cards.
High quality masking fluid, awkwardly huge felt tip.
from Denver, CO
This masking fluid really shields the area, letting absolutely no india ink in. it peels up beautifully an easily to reaveal an ultraclean surface. Its only fault is that the felt tip is large and somewhat awkward. I'm tempted to shave it down to a fine point for the kind of things I'd like to do. but otherwise, it is pretty great.
Keeping white made easy
from New York
I've used the pen to mask off fine lines and small areas that I would like to keep unpainted. The pen and fluid are working as expected so far with no clogs or blotting. Masking fluid behaves/dries/removes like most others I've used. A little more expensive than buying a bottle, but I haven't yet encountered how long it lasts or how easy the "easy refill" is, but I intend to continue using the system.
I agree with KAYE from CT
After only 18 hours the blue stain would not come off. I may have to try to salvage the two paintings using gouache as a cover-up.
Ruined 2 paintings
I love DickBlick. My review is solely on the product. I spent 4 hours on a painting and then used the masking fluid pen in one area. It will not come off. I was pretty upset that I had wasted all of that time and now have blue marks on my painting. A couple of weeks later I decided to give it another chance because maybe I had applied it too thin. Nope, I just ruined another painting. The concept is great I actually think the masking fluid is horrible I may empty them and put my usual Fluid in it.
Merchant response: We are truly sorry to hear about the damage to your work. With this masking fluid, it's important that it be applied to dry paper, allowed to dry fully before removing, and removed after no more than 48 hours. Please know that our Product Specialists are happy to troubleshoot this with you. We hope you'll reach out via phone at 1-800-933-2542 (8am-5:30pm CST M-F) or email@example.com. We're happy to help!
Molo - 'WOW'...
By Charlie O'Brien

I had seen illustrators use masking fluid in their work, and was curious. To find a pen/marker that could control the flow of the masking fluid?...amazing! Once i took it out of the package and played around with it, i was impressed. My work style leans toward fashion illustration, and this pen(s) will be used quite a bit.
