For intensity and brilliance beyond compare, experience Mission Gold Watercolors by Mijello.
This line of 105 super-premium watercolors was designed with the help of expert watercolor artists to mirror the strong, vivid colors of nature. They're created by mixing the finest pigments from around the world with other components at the golden ratio. Paints are then matured in traditional Korean pots to achieve extraordinary color properties.
Use these lush paints directly on a dry palette. They disperse beautifully and evenly with water, with very little color shift from wet to dry. With more pigment and no thickener, a little color goes a long way. And with excellent lightfastness, your watercolor paintings will retain their original vivacity longer.
The Mission Gold line also includes two revolutionary whites — Chinese White and Titanium White — which behave how whites should.

Intense, vibrant, many staining colors ideal for layering.
By The Enchanted Gallery
from Portland OR
Comments about Mijello Mission Gold Watercolors:
A majority of the Mission Gold colors are staining/non-lifting, making them ideal for glazing/layering techniques. I find them to be amazing for floral paintings and anytime you want to paint a smooth gradient of color on top of a previously dried color layer without disturbing the paint. I have been extremely impressed with the minimal wet-to-dry shift in color. Most brands look a lot lighter once the paint dries, but these overall stayed as vibrant as when they were wet.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Masked, then applied paint with a palette knife, then sprayed with water. Really nice flow as the colors mixed.
A little color sketch with the two samples I recd. everything is done with mission except flower shadows.

Interesting paint to use
from Boston, MA
This paint is quite intense in color and therefore needs to be used with less water. Values and color are arrived at quickly. I'm still learning a somewhat different color system as many colors differ from what we are used to, but nevertheless enjoying it.
Love the Mijello Mission Gold Watercolor Paint
By Lisa the beginner
from Happy Valley, PA
I just love the Peacock Blue in this brand! It is amazing and adds to my palette!
I got 3 different brands, all recommended by my professor, and Mission was my favorite. Great quality. Versatile. I love them.

Great Paint - Horrible Shipping Standards
from Wichita, KS
I really like these new paints. I find the color and consistency to be great. However,in was really disappointed by the enormous amount of packaging that was used to ship a single tube of paint! A box bigger than a shoebox filled with packing material, then a box about twice the size of a deck of cards with the single paint inside. So wasteful and disappointing.

Transparent, intense but read the pigment contents
from Gainesville, Florida
Mijello Gold watercolors retain their intensity when water is added and favored by some accomplished artists. Word of advice is to read the pigments before purchasing - Cobalt I is really a Phthalo blue pigment, which is a much cheaper pigment that cobalt. If you want a pretty, intense (and very staining) Phthalo blue, Cobalt I is nice, but I think calling it Cobalt is misleading.
The ost brilliant of paints
from River Forest, IL
Next to Winsor Newton,tThese are my favorite paints. They are so rich and intense that the increased price is compensated for by not having to use much. The only draw back is the fewer array of colors fro which to choose as compared with WN.
in my top 3 favorite watercolors!!!
from Boston MA
I LOVE LOVE LOVE these watercolors, they are smooth, dont dry out and are so reactive to water. Watching the colors play is addictive :)

Great paints for filling portable palettes, vivid colors
I love these paints. I ordered a couple of Mijello paint palettes and received a tube of these paints with each of them. I instantly became hooked on them once I tested them out.I've used cheap department store watercolor (daler rowney simply, fine touch) and slightly higher end paints (winsor & newton cotman) and once I saw the difference between those and the MiJello paints, I couldn't go back to anything less.Unlike any other watercolor paint I've tried, these paints stay sticky/tacky when put into a paint palette and left to dry to be used like watercolor pans. It takes no effort at all to re-wet them in the palette and they're very easy to mix, but that does come at the cost of having to be more careful not to contaminate the different colors, as they can't really be "cleaned off" like other watercolors can that dry harder in the pans. Cleaning the brush between every color is a necessity. But other than that, I absolutely love these paints.
