Love this product

I have used this product on several projects in the past. I have used it on mirrors, candle holders, picture frames, and metal tables. It has wonderful coverage and I love the finish. My friends comment on how nice the finished product looks. The only thing I don't like is that it tends to dry out if stored for very long.

Really easy to use. Excellent results. I used it on plaster. It came out with a great bronze look. It went a long way , I bought the 8 Oz. Bottle and had a lot left over.

I use these for adding or touching up a finish for small to medium jewelry pieces. I find this product offers excellent coverage and a little goes a long way.I will say that I found the silver/gray finish a little flat on round objects, and may try the silver/blue or pewter. But on flat, I found it worked very well and did not have that"painted" look. I used both a small brush and q-tips, and I prefer the q-tips as the layer tends to be a little thicker and you may not have to reapply. The copper I use more often, and as it often covers solder marks I usually have to use two to three coats, and it looks very natural. Make sure that the metal is clean and any residue build up should be scrubbed away. A brush offers better control and cleans up very easily with water. Spotting or mistakes can be removed with water and either a brush or q-tip easily as long as it is still wet, and there is very minimal smearing. This product dries quickly with strong color to provide good even coverage. Use a durable sealer with this and other surface finishers for pieces that will be handled often.

Looks great, easy to use

This stuff works great for throwing a finish on old fixtures. I used the blackened bronze surface for some brass light fixtures that came with our house. They'd been lacquered and the only alternative to the garish brass finish was using lacquer thinner to remove the finish, then using some agent (like the obnoxious-smelling liver of sulfur) to tarnish it.Rather than submit myself to the fumes and labor, I painted the fixtures in place with the black bronze and after three coats with a fine nylon utility brush (Loew Cornell 1177) you can't tell them from the other bronze fixtures. The blond bronze didn't look quite as good, but might be fine if you're going to use on something outdoors or use a patina agent on it. (The green patina agent works better than the black, but you need to put it on while the paint is still wet so the metal particles suspended in the acrylic can be exposed to the chemical.) The clean up is a snap with just soap and water, as this stuff has an acrylic base, and there's no odor to speak of. I can't wait to use some of this stuff in my art as a surface for an oil painting.
