Comments about Maysville Cotton Warp:
I was happy to find this product at a good price. I will be making a crocheted bedspread from a pattern my grandmother used many years ago. This thread is good quality, has consistent color, and a nice feel when crocheted.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Perfect Warp Yarn
from Sturgeon Bay Wi
As a novice weaver I ordered 2 spools of this yarn to use for warp, and hoped for the best. The price was so reasonable I was afraid I might be getting a really inferior product. Couldn't have been more wrong! This yarn was excellent! No knots or weaknesses, and not one broken warp thread the entire project. It held the tension well, even under extreme pressure on some of the yarn caused by my inexperience at the loom. And it washed and finished well. I've just ordered 12 more spools in various colors. (Also happy that these yarns are made and dyed in USA.) Thanks for such a great product at a good price.

First time buying - not happy
from New Orleans, LA
I bought this yarn as a warping yarn for my rigid heddle loom. I've never used this brand before and will not buy it again. There are MULTIPLE spots throughout where the yarn had broken and was tied back together and sold to me. Now my loom is warped and there are half a dozen spots where the warping has knots. Several of the knots are mere inches from each other! Unacceptable. I've been a crocheter and weaver for years and have never gotten a yarn with so many breaks before.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Merchant response: We're sorry that you received yarn with so many knots. Although it's standard for there to be a few in cones of this length, it sounds like yours had an unacceptable number, and a member of our Customer Care Team will be following up with you to take care of this. When you encounter knots in warp (as you inevitably will, though fewer), simply tie off to the end peg on your warping board, cut out the knot, and tie on again. Knots in the warp itself can lead to broken warp threads — it's much easier to avoid them in the beginning than to fix broken warp threads in the middle of a project. If you have any questions about this, our Product Information Team is here to help. Just call 1-800-933-2542 (8am-5:30pm CST M-F) or email email@example.com.
Strong Cotton Warp

Great Cotton warp.
Nice Thread for warping my loom
I bought this thread for my union loom. It is exactly like the cotton warp my grandma bought 40 years ago for the loom. It would be nice to post the weight info and maybe make a color chart available to buy. It would be helpful for other people. So they could actually look and feel the fibers. I took a chance not knowing if the colors or weight would work.
Reliable, affordable warp
from Brooklyn, NY
I bought the natural-colored warp, and the color is indeed natural -- not too beige or white. It went on my loom nice and secure, with no weak spots that I could see. There's enough on the spool to last for many, many more projects to come. I plan to experiment with other colors of this warp in the future.
