Cobblestone is a unique non-toxic textural glaze that forms a raised rectangular chip when fired. It's excellent for texture effects on frogs and turtles!
Colors can be achieved by applying a coat of Mayco Stroke & Coat Wonderglaze on top of the damp White Cobblestone glaze. Or fill a writer-tip bottle with Cobblestone to create unique designs.
Mayco Cobblestone comes in a wide-mouth pint jar. Fire to Cone 06 (1828°F, 998°C).

Fun and easy!
Easy to use and fun results. I painted it over Mayco White first while this was still sticky.
This doesn't work!

The pictures on the website are not an accurate description of what you get. It does not look nearly as cool and the pictures would have you believe. It also flakes off.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Avoid - Only works sometimes!

I manage a ceramic painting studio and we attempted to introduce this new glaze. Before allowing customers to use it we had been firing our own test pieces to get a hang of out it works. The first use was okay, but more often than not the cobblestone glaze would not create the "cobble" effect - but rather it would stay a cloudly black or white (we carried both colors.) Also, the "cobble" would after create sharp chunks that would stick out. We followed the instructions and many of our employees have a background in ceramics so it was not user error.

Cobblestone glaze flakes off
Used both the black and the white cobblestone glaze over Mayco's Stroke-n-Coat for a whole series of pieces. In every case, pieces of the cobblestone came off--both in the kiln, and for days later. The rest of the pieces are fine, only the spots with Cobblestone are a problem. In some places, the Cobblestone even took the underlying Stroke-n-Coat off with it, leaving spots of bare bisque. I haven't been able to get an answer from Mayco. Filling in and re-firing hasn't helped, although I was able to cover the bare spots with Stroke-n-Coat with no problem. Very dissappointing--especially for the customer who ordered them.
