Though the questions above ask for comparisons, I do not know of any other palette that works so well to improve the enjoyment of painting with acrylics. Saves paint and keeps paint workable.

Lots of paint mixing room. The lid part of this item can be used also. I especially like that neither the lid nor base move when placed on your table surface. No sliding here. And both pieces fit tight when your finished painting to keep paints dry. Overall, a great working size for mixing with stability.

the only problem I have with the sta wet palette, is the sponge.
It wears out quickly. There used to be a blue sponge, which lasted much longer.

GREAT product!!! As a beginning painter, I did not invest heavily in too many tools. Since I'm very slow, the biggest problem, I had was my paint drying out. Based on the suggestion of an instructor, I bought this Masterson Super Pro Stay Wet Palette and I LOVE it. The paint stays wet and is so much easier to move across my canvas. It keeps me from constantly dipping my brush in water then getting too little or too much water and making a mess on my canvas. The palette not only makes my paint work better for me, but saves TONS of paint. I close the palette when I finish and the paint stays for DAYS!!! It's amazing. I bought this larger size because I'm still learning to mix colors and need the extra room. What a GREAT deal. I've ordered 2 more for gifts.

When it comes to palettes, the bigger the better. This one gives you lots of room for mixing with a broad range of colors. The acrylic sheets can be washed off and re-used, the sponge keeps your paints fresh. Make sure you keep the sponge quite wet. Awesome product, great price from Blick!

Does a very good job keeping acrylics usable over a long painting period. Follow the instructions for preparation of the sponge pad and the pallet paper and this system provides a durable and long lasting solution to keeping acrylic paints serviceable . Much better than standard pallets I used before.

This product arrived damaged but I didn't notice until I had completely unwrapped it. Two of the corners were broken. I have applied glue to each corner and hope that will suffice. I would not purchase another due to the fragile corners. Most things I purchase from Blick's are above and beyond great and I will continue to be a customer.
