I LOVE This!
from Flower Mound, TX
Comments about Masterson Sta-New Brush Holder:
I had to write a review as I am about to order a second one. I've had mine for about 3 years and use it to hold brushes on the drafting table on which I paint. My original holder is still working fine, but I find times when I'd like to hold a few more brushes and thought it worth buying a second one. The negative reviews that some post on the product really surprise me. Perhaps, there might be a better product out there; but this is the only brush holder I have found that can hold brushes pointing them brush side downward to keep water from dripping into the ferrule. It may be a bit light in that it's made of plastic, but it has kept my Kolinsky Sable watercolor brushes looking great. I absolutely love how it points the brushes downward, ensuring that the brush may dry properly. Also, I have had no difficulty with it holding my brushes in place--I just move the brush up or down a bit in the rubber holding mechanism until It's at a thicker part of the brush. Maybe this could be a problem with long-handled brushes but works great for watercolor brushes.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Use it for my acrylic brushes. Would like if it could hold more brushes......need to use two at a time.

Don't even bother
from Carbondale, IL
Terrible - does not hold the brushes and very flimsy. I even tried gluing it, but that didn't work - came apart after awhile.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Best Solution for Makeup Brush Holder
By Mimi H.
from Orlando, FL
I use this to dry and hold my makeup brushes. This product is sturdy and holds multiple brush sizes securely. I love it and it is better than any other makeup holder I have bought previously!

I like this brush holder
This is the only holder I've found to suspend watercolor brushes properly. As such, I dig it. It's very basic and lightweight–the pieces snap together out of the box. Assembled properly, it feels solid enough to me.I'm pleased, and the only improvement would be more slots. The backside has been left solid (no brush spaces) for wall mounting, but I feel like this is probably a rarely used feature. I feel like more brush spaces could reside back there, while also maintaining a wall-mounting option. I'll probably just need to buy another in the future. No biggie.
Great for expensive brushes!
Perfect for drying expensive brushes. Just the right size, too.

I've been looking for a product like this for a long time & this is the only one that I have found. However, it was a big disappointment. This product is very flimsy; it wobbles when you try to place a brush into it or when you take a brush out. I thought you could use this as you are painting & switching between brushes; but you really cannot do this. It's not conducive to use while you paint, because you can't just grab a brush from the holder. It takes both hands to place or remove a brush.

DRIP DRY HOLDER SAVES BRUSHES
By Basset Lady
To my knowledge, this is the only brush holder that allows an artist to hang brushes points down to keep the brush like new and prevent rust. Sturdy and versitile, with wall mount, if desired, to save space in the studio.

Don't know how I've been painting watercolor all these years without it. It keeps the brushes easy to use. It could hold about four more.
