I like the "Ellipse" small palette for watercolors on the go! Just the right size for mini studies in the outdoors.

The "Ellipse" extra large is a bit clumsy for me. I am not happy about the thumb hole. It hurt my thumb so it wasn't comfortable to hold. Still the surface is great. It worked better on my lap outdoors or on the table indoors. So I'll give the small "Ellipse" 5 stars and the extra large one 4 stars because of the discomfort.

I bought the extra large Mijello elipse (peelable)pallet with a thumbhole, but I did not buy it from Blicks. Wish I did because blicks sells that particular item for less than what I paid. Then again, Blick's shipping charge makes up for the cost so maybe I wouldn't save much???

Anyway, I love this palett so much that if I knew it was this great I would have bought it a long time ago. It is very light-weight for one thing which is good. I like to feel "easy" and carefree when I paint. The plastic pallet I previously used was also plastic, but clear and it was slightly on the heavy side. This one is so lightweight and very easy to use. It also has a thumbhole which makes it even easier when standing at an easel. I'm an oil painter and beleive it or not, when my paint dries completely after about a week, it peels off!!! I didn't beleive it at first (being a skeptic)and wanted to try this palett for oils and see if it was true. Both Acrylics and oils actually scratch off, or peel off. I also like that this palett is quite large. Large enough to use a lot of colors. I measured it myself and it measures about 19 inches! At first, I thought the wells should be separted for all your colors but now I realized that this is easier to have just one that runs all around the edge of the palett. It is less time consuming to clean. Much easier. The smoothness and rounded shape of it also makes it easier to clean. My only drawbacks are these: For one thing, I wish it was a little bigger. My other paletts were larger, giving me more room for mixing. I also wish it came with a cover to keep my paints wet for longer periods of time-like the rectangular peelable ones do. Only problem that those don't have a thumbhole. However, I still give this a 5 star. It is an excellent palett that I highly recommend to any artist, and it is probably peel-able paletts are the best on the market now-adays. They really save you alot of time in cleaning, and dollars in your paints (if you get the one with the cover).

I bought the Dual Airtight palette for use with transparent watercolors. I am very pleased with this product! I leave my paint in the wells and this palette really seals nice & tight. Plenty of room for mixing on the palette itself and the lid. Exactly what I was looking for-great product.

Price was great on the peelable palette compared to other online stores. The product lives up to its name and will be very useful for cleaning and the lid definitely gives a longer life to the paints.
