The clay machine does exactly what it claims to do which is to condition clay rapidly and easily and to make flat sheets in any of the 9 thicknesses settings. My only complaint with the machine itself is that the dial for thicknesses is very sharp. I pinched my finger and got a nasty cut.
The machine comes with a clamp which is essential. My issue with the clamp is that it was difficult for me to find a place to clamp it where it held tight and allowed room for cranking the machine. My table nor my counter top worked so I was forced to use a bookshelf. I will admit being left handed added to the problem. I hope that in the future the clamp becomes part of the machine. I am sure that would make it much less finicky.

The machine was great at first but my polymer clay started clogging up tords the end.
You will have to keep kleaning it out. Also I have to keep on putting the handle back on it. Yes! It keeps on falling out when I use it. A fairly good thing is that the rollers dont stick to the clay.

This is a good, solid machine. I love the rollers on this machine even better than the ones on my "professional" machine that I am unable to name here in this review.
I teach classes and have 4 different brands in my classes now. Out of all of them, this one is the BEST of all of them.
2 of the other brands were broken by the same lady - she had poor technique, but still, the machine should not have been permanently broken!!! Another brand numbers their setting the opposite of what 95% of the other pasta machines use around the world, so it makes it very confusing when adjusting sheet thicknesses is part of the directions, and the settings are numbered in reverse.
My Makins machine has lasted 4 years now - it was the first one I bought for my class and home use.
If my budget allowed, I would replace all of the other machines I use for classes with this one!

This is the best clay machine I have found so far. It works great with my fimo, sculpey and makins clay. I love the extra thickness settings and non-stick rollers, it works better than my old machine with steel rollers. It's a great value for those of us who are on a limited budget.
