Best Student Paints Out There For The Money!
Comments about Maimeri Venezia Watercolors:
I am definitely in love with this product! I've use Maimeri Blu paints in the past and had good results, so I didn't hesitate to try these out when I was in the market for paints again. These are student grade paints and I think I like these better than the Maimeri Blu because the colors aren't as muted! Some of the reviews had complaints that the coverage isn't very smooth, but this is because they require more water than some other brands for a smooth application. When enough water is applied, the colors are beautiful and bright, but still natural-looking (or at least flattering). With the blues, the intensity is almost ink-like. If I had any complaints, it would be that the reds aren't quite rich enough. Good intensity, not at all dull, but no richness. My other complaint is that mixing a nice green doesn't quite get good results for some reason. So if you want any of the greens, buy them outright. Do not try to mix them. Overall, I really like this brand, and would not hesitate to buy them again. Awesome student quality paints with few drawbacks.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The perfect starting point for a light flesh tone that can then be customized to the desired tone...better than trying to mix from the start each time.

Maimeri Venezia Student grade paints have a higher pigment intensity than other student grade paints. I was really enthralled at the colors and the price was pocketbook friendly. I recommend them to others! You will not be disapointed!Superb quality!
My best watercolours
I first ordered a couple of these because they're the first I've seen to have a flesh tint, and ended up being very impressed by them. They contain significantly more paint than other student grade watercolour tubes do, and I honestly found them to be of higher quality, as well. The colours are quite vibrant and very lovely, and the 'watery' quality of the paint makes them mix very effectively and dry out less when stored in jars. Since I mix colours in advance, and just pull out the jars I want while painting, this is a very endearing quality.I've never used any artist grade watercolours due to cost issues, but among the student grade watercolurs I've tried, these are the best. They've definitely become my standard. As with most of the products I like from DickBlick, I'm only disappointed that they aren't avaiable in my local store, since shipping costs are a bit of a deterrent.

Maimeri Venezia Watercolors
Don't apply to much of this paint or it will be like gooey and sticky and somewhat looks like mess.If you mix it more with water then the color will apper bright and brillant.

By Gum Printer
from Amherst, NY
I purchased these watercolors to use in my tricolor gum prints, and they work magnificently. Although there is a bit of staining (it may just be the paper, I'll have to try with another brand) the resulting colors and mixtures were perfect. It was easy to use, and dispersed just the right amount.
