Maimeri Renaissance Oils are formulated to replicate important colors used by Masters such as Michelangelo, Bellini, and Caravaggio during the Italian Renaissance (circa 1330–1595), one of the most important periods of development in art history. Each of the 11 colors in the Renaissance range has been individually prepared to exhibit the same visual characteristics and "feel" under the brush or knife as paints made in accordance with traditional recipes from the period, although unstable or toxic pigments have been replaced with superior modern alternatives. In keeping with tradition, Maimeri Renaissance Oil Colors are ground in Note — Use this color chart as an approximation of the real color.
