"Nature is extraordinarily beautiful here," wrote Vincent van Gogh of his time spent on the Mediterranean coast.
This simple range of 11 fundamental hues is formulated to reflect the unique warmth, light, and color of a region that for centuries lay at the very center of the known world and united different continents and cultures.
Maimeri Mediterranean Oil Colors are coarse-ground and highly pigmented to provide a unique, dense texture that retains the ego of the brushstroke. The colors are ideally suited to plein air painting and work in perfect harmony with Maimeri Italian Natural Earth Oil Colors, which are recommended for underpainting to enhance the beauty of the finished work.

Love the oil paints

Comments about Maimeri Mediterranean Oil Colors:
The soulful colors remind me of Greece. The Santorini White is perfect for the stone work in my paintings. I am just a beginner painter at the age of 68, but I believe using the best paint you can afford will give you outstanding results.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Beautiful color and fun to use on special applications, strong brilliant colors. Actually just learning how to paint with oil and I thought this would be a fun addition to my palette. Try it , you will like it.
Not what they appear! Very inconsistent pigment load!

I purchaed the three colors of:Gren Pantelleria (Sap Green) Salento Green (Chromium Oxide Green)Vesuvius Yellow (Yellow Titinate)of the three only the Gren Pantelleria (sap Green) (five stars) had a good load to it...the Salento Green was very poor, almost to the pint that the color did not do justice to the pigment. Likewise the Vesuvius Yellow was very low in pigment even runny. I would only recommend Gren Pantelleria (Sap Green) 5 Star as good out of the three. The other two (1 star) are very very poor. I have painted for 50 years, and I have taught oil painting off and on for over 30 years.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Very poor quality
from Portland OR
These were cheap, colors looked enticing, so I thought I'd take a chance. Tinting power is almost nonexistant. I used almost a tube to get a mid-value when mixed with white.
