Welcome to dickblick
Artist and master paintmaker Art Graham put many decades of experience at other companies behind him and started his own company based on his own vision and his own values. What a magnificent addition to the professional artist's palette!
M. Graham Watercolors are manufactured in small batches with pure honey, gum arabic, glycerine, and the finest pigments available. Each color's formula is individually developed and crafted to bring out the unique character of the pigment.
Each color in this small watercolor line is intensely pigmented, and every color is based on a single pigment, excepting a few convenience mixtures of historic colors. Best of all, each transparent color has a counterpart in the M. Graham Gouache line, perfect for adding detail and areas of opaque color.
Colors made with honey do not dry up in the tube or on the palette, and they always dilute easily, often after months or years of disuse. Honey has been used extensively throughout the history of art as an ingredient in waterbased colors.
This set contains five 0.5 oz (15 ml) tubes of Artists' Watercolors, including Ultramarine Blue, Sap Green, Azo Yellow, Permanent Alizarin Crimson, and Burnt Sienna.
Embark on your own Blue Period with this special set containing 0.5 oz (15 ml) tubes of Cobalt Violet, Cobalt Blue, Cobalt Teal, Cobalt Green, and Cerulean Blue Deep.
This set contains five 0.5 oz (15 ml) tubes of Artists' Watercolors, including Quinacridone Red, Quinacridone Rose, Quinacridone Violet, Quinacridone Rust, and Nickel Quinacridone.

Comments about M. Graham Artists' Watercolors:
Great quality, color and tubes last a very long time. This brand was recommended for botanical watercolor by an instructor at NY Botanical Garden and I have used this brand ever since for all my watercolor paintings.

I enjoy using M Graham. I like the texture, the richness of color and the tubes are easy to remove and replace the caps!

Smooth, vibrant, and holds moisture
By A Statistical Artist
My first artist-quality set of watercolor paints, and boy, it was a game-changer. Brushes on smoothly with all sorts of paper and brushes, vibrant, and retains moisture for much longer than most paints. It is one of the cheapest artist-quality paints you can get per mL, and I am not inclined to try other brands after getting these because they're already more than sufficient for my needs. Dickblick packaged them well, too, in cardboard boxes, with each tube separated with its own cardboard divider.

Best Watercolor Paints Anywhere
By Cindy Skillman
from Rapid City, SD
Heavily pigmented, easily rewettable, no color shift from wet to dry. All that, and they're also very reasonably priced. It takes a little practice to get used to M Graham benefits, but once you do, you'll never go back to ordinary watercolor paints. I use them for traditional watercolor painting and, if I need a color in acrylic painting that I do not have on hand, I can mix a little M Graham wc tube paint with acrylic medium to make the color I want. These paints are that concentrated.
Soft and Gummy - love them
I leave my watercolor palette open since I may only have 30minutes at a time to work on my art. sometimes for days. This stays soft longer than the two other artist brands I use. Plus when I mist them they come back ready to use the fastest. Very strong vibrant pigments. I'm going to switch over on other colors as I run out.

Transparent Yellow Oxide
from northern california
I purchased transparent yellow oxide, which was beautiful, but the smell was awful. This is the second time that I've purchased an M.Graham transparent oxide with an awful smell, so no more M. Graham oxide paints for me... Blick was great about refunding the cost of the paint.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Merchant response: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with this paint. We've been in touch with M. Graham, and they have checked these colors for the past 3 years without finding an unusual smell. However, it seems certain individuals may be sensitive to iron oxides in particular, and of course we're happy to accepts returns in these cases. We want to make sure the paints you order from us will work for you!
