Welcome to dickblick
Artist and master paintmaker Art Graham put many decades of experience at other companies behind him and started his own company based on his own vision and his own values. What a magnificent addition to the professional artist's palette!
M. Graham Watercolors are manufactured in small batches with pure honey, gum arabic, glycerine, and the finest pigments available. Each color's formula is individually developed and crafted to bring out the unique character of the pigment.
Each color in this small watercolor line is intensely pigmented, and every color is based on a single pigment, excepting a few convenience mixtures of historic colors. Best of all, each transparent color has a counterpart in the M. Graham Gouache line, perfect for adding detail and areas of opaque color.
Colors made with honey do not dry up in the tube or on the palette, and they always dilute easily, often after months or years of disuse. Honey has been used extensively throughout the history of art as an ingredient in waterbased colors.
This set contains five 0.5 oz (15 ml) tubes of Artists' Watercolors, including Ultramarine Blue, Sap Green, Azo Yellow, Permanent Alizarin Crimson, and Burnt Sienna.
Embark on your own Blue Period with this special set containing 0.5 oz (15 ml) tubes of Cobalt Violet, Cobalt Blue, Cobalt Teal, Cobalt Green, and Cerulean Blue Deep.

Comments about M. Graham Artists' Watercolors:
I was shocked to find out that these tubes were much larger than those I bought on Amazon for pretty much the same price. Packaging was great. Shipped quickly to Canada.

M. Graham watercolours--gorgeous!
By T. Torch
from San Diego, CA
This is my first time trying this brand, so I bought four 15 ml tubes of M. Graham watercolors to try out: Cadmium yellow light, quinacridone red, phthalo blue, phthalo green. My goal was to mix three primary colours to see how well M. Graham pigments translate primary colours into other hues. I also wanted to compare how blue-greens/greens/yellow greens mixed from the primary colours compared with the same mixed from phthalo green. I am happy to report that M. Graham watercolour pigments generally produced beautiful secondary colours, particularly orange-reds, deep violets, and yellow-greens. Mixing with phthalo green produced even more vibrant blue-greens/yellow-greens. I will probably invest in a tube in the mid-orange range as the one I mixed could be more vibrant. And maybe a violet for the same reason. But this is to be expected with other paint brands as well.At Blick sale prices these paints are reasonably priced for high-end, artist-grade paints. I love the creaminess of the M. Graham paints, due to the honey they mix in as a humectant. But that can be a slight drawback if you're looking to customize your own watercolour box (i.e, filling full or half pans and letting dry) as the honey in the M. Graham paints prevent complete drying out. I left my half-pans out over night but the paints did not dry out. They became a bit more gooey, and when I turned my palette upside down, they did not drip out. But there is no guarantee the paints will not run out of the half pans if you carry your customized palette around for plein air painting. Exquisite paints, a pleasure to work with--definitely recommend to try!

If the unused paints in the wells remain soft as advertised, I will be glad to award a 5 star. Haven't had them long enough to do that.
I really like these paints

The paints dissolve at the touch of the wetBrush. I wish they offered more colors.
Great for washes and layering. Glides on smooth.

M Graham watercolors have an even texture for smooth washes and fine detail. Beautiful color selection too.

I'll show these color at my watercolor class soon.
Rich, moist colors
from Pahoa, Hawaii
I really like that the paints stay moist longer in the palette than my W & N and Daniel Smith watercolors (which are both great watercolors as well). The M. Graham colors are rich, especially their Ultramarine Violet Deep which is by far the BEST purple watercolor I've ever tried, much better than any dioxazine purple.
