Artist and master paintmaker Art Graham put many decades of experience at other companies behind him and started his own company based on his own vision and his own values. What a magnificent addition to the professional artist's palette!
M. Graham Watercolors are manufactured in small batches with pure honey, gum arabic, glycerine, and the finest pigments available. Each color's formula is individually developed and crafted to bring out the unique character of the pigment.
Each color in this small watercolor line is intensely pigmented, and every color is based on a single pigment, excepting a few convenience mixtures of historic colors. Best of all, each transparent color has a counterpart in the M. Graham Gouache line, perfect for adding detail and areas of opaque color.
Colors made with honey do not dry up in the tube or on the palette, and they always dilute easily, often after months or years of disuse. Honey has been used extensively throughout the history of art as an ingredient in waterbased colors.
This set contains five 0.5 oz (15 ml) tubes of Artists' Watercolors, including Ultramarine Blue, Sap Green, Azo Yellow, Permanent Alizarin Crimson, and Burnt Sienna.
Embark on your own Blue Period with this special set containing 0.5 oz (15 ml) tubes of Cobalt Violet, Cobalt Blue, Cobalt Teal, Cobalt Green, and Cerulean Blue Deep.
This set contains five 0.5 oz (15 ml) tubes of Artists' Watercolors, including Quinacridone Red, Quinacridone Rose, Quinacridone Violet, Quinacridone Rust, and Nickel Quinacridone.

Transparent and Creamy
By Paintbrush Pat

Comments about M. Graham Artists' Watercolors:
I like very much that these watercolors are so vibrant and transparent. They also remain relatively soft once squeezed into the palette and don't dry into hard little paint rocks like some other brands I've used. I would recommend to anyone and will buy this brand again.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Juicy and fully pigmented

I am switching over to M.Graham "artist" watercolor from other brands. These paints are highly pigmented with a creamy consistency, and an exceptional value for the amateur artist.

Gorgeous rich color
Unbelievably gorgeous color in each tube! The perfect watercolors that never get gritty in the palette. These watercolors are made with honey which helps keep them moist in the palette. Until I tried these, I was always wasting other brands ultramarine blue because they dried, got gritty and never reconstituted to get a smooth clear wash. Love the color range available too! The best watercolor available and reasonably priced.

M. Graham watercolors: master paints!

I have used mostly Windsor & Newton Artist watercolors and like them quite a bit but the time came when I wanted to experiment with a more limited palette. M. Graham have glowing reviews and I thought this would be a good time to try them. These are superb paints. The paints are rich in pigment and mix secondary and tertiary colors easily. In fact, the paints are so rich that I found i. I enthusiastically necessary to use less paint than I was used to. The range of tints from either the primary colors I bought or my mixes was wider than I had expected to find, making the M. Graham paints both more flexible and more economical than expected. I enthusiastically recommend them to everyone!

I love these paints cause they keep their vibrant colors and when your painting on location they don't dry out so fast because of the honey that's added.

I love dioxazine violet-- but its know as a purple I use this color a lot and mix it with other colors and often times use it as a shadow color in portraits--nice diffusion of value range
Have I really not reviewed M. Graham watercolors before?
from Sandpoint, Idaho
M. Graham watercolor paints are made with honey. The honey gives them a luminous quality that makes them quite spectacular and they won't turn into a hard rock in your palette. They firm up but still remain somewhat moist and are beautifully responsive to a wet brush. M. Graham makes stunningly gorgeous paints at a reasonable price and are especially ideal for painters who like to buy tubes and squeeze their paint into palettes. Check out M. Graham's Permanent Alizarin Crimson. It's an extremely beautiful, rich color and the absolute best of its kind. M. Graham also has a fantastic Transparent Red Oxide and Transparent Brown Oxide. These colors are among my favorites, but I highly recommend all of M. Graham's colors. I love all of the tubes I have and plan to order more.
Extraordinary Paints!! Wonderful Company!
By Love Cats

M. Graham watercolors are just wonderful...a true value for the money and are even made in this country. I have nearly all the colors now and they are so satisfying to paint with. Having honey in their content, they are very smooth to paint with and re-wet nearly instantly with little effort, which makes my sable brushes very happy! I think that they are a solid value, and most of them are single-pigment colors, which is the best type to buy. This gives clean and predictable mixes. I had a problem with the caps in two of my tubes, they broke off and paint went everywhere. I did contact the company andDiana of M. Graham immediately contacted me and resolved the problem, sending me some new caps and also so very kindly replacing the tubes that I lost so much paint out of. Such customer service these days is nearly extinct. I would highly recommend M. Graham paints to any level of watercolorist, from beginner to advanced to professional artist. You just can't go wrong with them!
