Welcome to dickblick
Artist and master paintmaker Art Graham put years of experience at other companies behind him and started his own business based on his own vision and values. The result is a paint, manufactured without fillers or additives, that goes back to some of oil painting's finest traditions.
M. Graham Artists' Oil Colors are made with a walnut oil binder, an alternative to traditional linseed oil that's been preferred by artists for centuries. In fact, today it's known that Renaissance masters such as Da Vinci and Durer generally favored walnut oil over linseed oil. Walnut oil provides rich, vibrant color that is naturally more alive and brilliant than traditional linseed oil. Free flowing and slow drying, M. Graham's walnut oil formulation enables delicate passages of finely blended color that retain their brilliance over time.

My go to paints - best color
from Cape Cod, MAssachusetts
I use M Graham oil paints for almost all my colors (there are a couple that I use of different brands for very specific reasons not having to do with quality). I find the colors to be very intense and clean and I like the walnut oil matrix. I am too sensitive to solvents to use them in my painting, and so I use walnut oil and a non-solvent medium with palette knives to paint. M Graham materials are excellent and very reasonably priced.
M Graham blends beautifully.
Used the m graham fast drying titanium white oil to cover an oil painting for repainting. worked great
These paints are incredibly pigmented and have a very nice buttery texture. I bought the 5 color set along with some student grade paints as a starter set and the difference is definetly noticeable. I have had a problem with two of my paint tubes leaking out a small amount of oil but this problem is easily fixed. I definetly recommend these and will be purchasing more in the future for sure!
One of my Favorite Brands of Oil Paints
from Vista, CA
I love that so many of M. Graham's oil paints are single pigment. I also love that they're made with walnut oil since I'm sensitive to linseed oil. AND they're smooth and buttery with great pigment strength.

M. Graham is by far my favorite oils to use. They have a fantastic buttery consistency and have more pigment than other comparative brands. I am a working artist and these are my go to oils.
Graham oil paints
from Petaluma, CA
More than 30 years ago I began painting in acrylics and watercolors. However in the last few years I have taken painting lessons from a very fine painter and he suggested that I try oil paints. Since I've been using Graham oil paints I find that I can blend colors much more rapidly and get really nice results from my paintings. Recently I have been painting animals and some abstract paintings. I enjoy the ability to blend and combine colors with oil paints which I found much more difficult with acrylics. I would recommend these particular paints to anyone who may have problems with allergies as they are based in walnut oil which is not as strong as other oil paints.

Ground in walnut oil I avoid the petroleum odors that previously permitted the studio, but the real deal is the buttery consistency and the authentic hues of the pigments. Been using for four years.
