Welcome to dickblick
Artist and master paintmaker Art Graham put years of experience at other companies behind him and started his own business based on his own vision and values. The result is a paint, manufactured without fillers or additives, that goes back to some of oil painting's finest traditions.
M. Graham Artists' Oil Colors are made with a walnut oil binder, an alternative to traditional linseed oil that's been preferred by artists for centuries. In fact, today it's known that Renaissance masters such as Da Vinci and Durer generally favored walnut oil over linseed oil. Walnut oil provides rich, vibrant color that is naturally more alive and brilliant than traditional linseed oil. Free flowing and slow drying, M. Graham's walnut oil formulation enables delicate passages of finely blended color that retain their brilliance over time.

M.Graham oils and mediums
from lexington kentucky
Comments about M. Graham Artists' Oil Colors:
M.Graham products are by far my favorite line. The oils are consistantly lush and vibrant and never any noxious odor. A few of the colors are more expensive than cheaper brands but definitely worth waiting for a sale. M.Graham's alkyd medium is the only one I've tried (and I've tried them all) without odor. Absolutely LOVE it! Over time the product will gum up around the cap; just transfer an amount to a small tub with a tight screw on cap. Then you can "dip in" and problem solved.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I have been using Graham's walnut oil based paints for several years and I find them to be less toxic than other paints. I am elergic to other oil based paints. I highly recommend these paints.

I love M. Graham paints: so luscious, brush-able without solvents (yay!), luminous and just plain gorgeous. M. Graham's Walnut Oil and Walnut Alkyd are fantastic products too. These are the perfect paints to step into Solvent-Free oil painting (it's totally do-able) and enjoy color AND your health. Lots of "going solvent-free" information on M. Graham's site too.
Very fine results

I really like the walnut oil base. It cleans up easily, and is less toxic to use.

This is my favorite oil paint. It flows nicely, isn't stiff like other paints. Thins nicely with m graham wanut alkyd oil but really you can paint with this brand without solvents.Colors are a bit limited compared to other brands, but other than that I can't think of any negatives.I love working with this high quality paint.
High quality and reasonably priced

I use this as my primary oil paint now. The colors are beautiful. It's made with walnut oil so it takes longer to dry.

M. Graham oil paint are luscious, smooth and fluid...the perfect consistency to paint "solvent-free" right out of the tube, and thin enough to "scrub in" an Imprimatura without solvents. Their line consists of all the popular colors and quite a few delicious transparent earth colors which are especially wonderful as glazes. I much prefer these fluid, walnut-based oils to the much stiffer brand-name oils I was using before, and have replaced all of my paints with M. Graham. Working with their Walnut Oil and Walnut Alkyd products makes a complete system for going solvent-free with your oil painting. M. Graham's website has quite a lot of information about solvent-free painting, and they are always happy to answer questions.

Heavy pigment load, creamy and sensuous to use.

I gave up on oils years ago and have been making do with Golden Acrylics, but after reading about Lavender Oil and these oils, I invested in a set. Couldn't be happier, these are the best. They just behave well, and the pigment stretches way out when thinning.
