Perfect for travel
from Los Angeles CA
Comments about Lyra Kneadable Eraser:
Kneaded erasers can get messy over time and the container that comes with this one is perfect for travel. The eraser is small and the entire package nice and compact. Just what I wanted for my out of country travel drawing kit
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

quality materials for quality art work

The Lyra Kneadable Eraser is instantly pliable (and easily usuable for that reason). The little box keeps it clean. It is a quality product all around. It picks up pencil from the support without damaging the surface or leaving fragments of rubber to brush off (on the floor usually) when done.

Great for graphite!
from New Mexico
This is my #1 eraser. It is soft and a little sticky. In other words, great for picking up graphite from the small to larger areas. Because it's stickier than the other brands it cleans up graphite perfectly! Only a shadow left if I am erasing #9 graphite. Otherwise all the graphite is gone. Love it! Don't want to use anything else! I've tried all the other brands of kneadable eraser and this is by far my favorite!

The box is the redeeming quality
The eraser does erase well; however once it becomes warmed by your hand's body temp it becomes the consistency of warm just chewed chewing gum, becomes even sticker and hard to manage. (Sorry for being graphic...don't know of any other way to describe it.) It's inexpensive, though. So, order it and a Prismacolor kneaded eraser; throw away the Lyra eraser and use the really cool box to store the Prismacolor. Those are the only standards under which I would recommend a friend to buy it.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Erasers are what they are, but I like the little plastic case.

Great to have it's own storage container

How great that these kneadable erasers have their own case!
Good eraser, but very sticky.
from Middle of Nowhere, MO
It's anice eraser, considering the only kneaded eraser I've used have been from Prismacolor. The Lyra earser picks up graphite better, but it's very sticky and it make sit hard to take it out of the plastic case.
