Not deep enough
from Southern Illinois
I use this thing to do a lot of frames but the major problem is that it don't drive the points in far enough! Some of the points were loose and some just fell out and I had to re-do them. If Logan would off longer points or at least come up with a better model that used longer points, that would be great. The points I now have is 9/16in long and they just don't go in far enough. The tool bottoms out to quick. They need a tool that is adjustable that uses longer points so you can drive them in how ever deep you want them. Other than that, it's easy to use and requires little pressure to drive the points. Maybe it's because the points don't go in far enough. I won't buy another one until some improvements are made.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Merchant response: Thank you for taking the time to share your comments with us. With this tool, the flexible points will be inserted so that about 25% of the point is in the frame molding, with 75% remaining out to hold the frame package in place. If this doesn't describe your results, our Product Specialists are happy to troubleshoot this with you (please call 1-800-933-2542). Or, if you feel this tool simply doesn't meet your needs, the Logan F500-2 Dual Drive Elite Point Driver, which offers adjustable tension, may be more to your liking. If you'd like to inquire about a return or exchange, just call our Customer Care Center at 1-800-723-2787.
Good buy for those doing alot of framing.

This tool was very helpful with the part of framing that I hate, using brads or points to hold the artwork and glass in place. Easy to use, reasonably priced, providing nice points that lay flat and secure all help with a more professional look to my framing. Also a good tool to use to protect finish on frames during framing.

This is one slick tool

I don't do framing every day of the week, but when I have to do it I need for it to be as simple and straight forward as possible. I've usually got a bunch of it to do at once, and it isn't a job I enjoy. I often use recycled frames and it is preferable to remove all the hardware from it first and start fresh. I needed something that was going to be easy to use, versatile and didn't require too much pressure with grip. This will fit 4 different types of tabs to include brads, so it is versatile and you can choose what best fits your project. I was pleasantly surprised that it required very little grip strength to fire it properly. In fact, the tabs seemed to slide in quite easily. Getting the various tabs into the slots was easy too. I don't know if this would stand up to very heavy use on a daily basis by a professional framer, but for an artist who does framing on a regular or irregular basis, it is perfect.

I like it, but the quality was not as good as I thought it should be, and now I thought it was a bit more expensive the quality I paid for.

OK for the price
I've used this to frame my show pieces for several years now. Works best with the brads, the flex points are hard to drive in to hard wood & often requires multiple tries. Sometimes the holder twists. Its fit onto all my frames up to 4 inch plein air OK. I'm looking for something better, but this does work & its cheap for those doing only occasional framing.

So far it is a waste of Money
from Bullhead City, AZ
I found that I have not been able to use the product since I purchased it. The inset of the frame where the picture or art work goes must be deep enough to acommodate the tool. If it does not have a solid "grab" it is useless. You are better off trying to push the brad in using the end of a flat blade screw driver.
