I purchased these to hold the acrylic paint that I mix with water and a little Flow Improver and use like watercolors. The idea, of course, is to preserve the thinned out colors, especially the mixes, which I don't have to reproduce next time I paint. This works perfectly and saves money too.

The cups are made from what looks like acrylic plastic and have snap on lids so they are both very strong and virtually leak-proof if you remember to snap the lids on. The cups are also wide enough to accept a brush.

The only thing I need now beside more of these cups is a rack or palette that will hold them. That may be a job for a mail order laser cutting job.

I love the fact the color I put in them is clear to see some other storage cups I've used looked cloudy. They are easy to open and being a senior citizen that is important. I've had some I couldn't open nor could my daughter without a lot of strain I think they're the best choice out there.

It is difficult to get this particular size in art supply stores in Vancouver, BC so I ordered online. I was extremely pleased with how quickly they were delivered. I will probably buy again for the convenience although since I had to pay customs duties equal to about 30% of the purchase price in addition to the delivery costs the storage cups ended up being rather expensive. Still, at least I got the size I wanted AND promptly!

I thought these cups were great and plan to use them for a long time. The liquid in them does not stick to the inside very much, so I was able to empty them without wasting a significant amount of liquid. I thought the lids did a great job as long as you were sure to have them snapped down well. I did have one cup that insisted leaking in one spot. I could not see why though.

I teach oil painting and used these for the students medium. I noticed after the first class two of the cups were cracked and leaking. The rim inside the cap folds and will not allow the cap to snap on easily, thus presure that cracks the cup. After two more broken cups the second week, I'm looking for something better.

I used this product to carry paint that my students used to paint faces. I like the product because the cups are air tight, and I can use them again without worrying about the paint drying out.

My primary use for these cups is storing underglaze pigment/mineral mixtures for painting my ceramics, but I also use them for storing mixes of my watercolors and many other things. I went through a number of other manufacturers' versions of storage cups, and this one is the best BY FAR. Reasons: truly will never leak if cap is in place, tough and not easily cracked by dropping, curved inner edges of storage chamber make resuspension of settled mixtures easy, and the price is very reasonable. All the sizes have their uses, but I find I turn to the two largest sizes the most; the smallest size is just too little to handle and doesn't store enough material. As another reviewer noted, it's important to be sure the cap is pushed down all around the edge. The cap material is more flexible than some, and this makes this operation easier, but people with arthritis might have issues and prefer a screw-cap. (Although I have yet to find a screw-cap which is as well-sealed as these are.)

Keeps my mixed acrylic paints, fresh. I've gone weeks to a month with my paints bottled up inside. Do not expect your paint to last forever in these cups. These cups can be slightly tricky to cap on, but I do not consider this to be a defect in the design. The lid does not easily pop off when I place my storage cups (filled with paint), in my backpack with my other belongings. Great price for the sturdiness & the amount of storage cups you receive in a purchase.

I was looking for a small cup with a good seal to keep acrylic craft paint from drying out between crafting sessions. These aren't really suitable for long term storage, but I've been able to stop work on a project and go back to it a few days later without a problem.
