The paint you've previously known as Liquitex Medium Viscosity Acrylic Artist Color is now called Liquitex Professional Soft Body Acrylics.
Liquitex Professional Soft Body Acrylics were the first fine artist's acrylics sold commercially in the United States. These concentrated acrylics contain rich, pure pigments that produce intense color without opacifiers or fillers. They have twice the covering power of ordinary craft acrylics!
Liquitex Soft Body Acrylics are naturally creamy and fluid. That makes them just right for tole and decorative arts, stenciling, murals, silk-screening, calligraphy, printmaking, graphic design, sculpture, photo retouching, hard edged painting, watercolor techniques, fabric painting without heat setting, airbrush illustration... you name it! They're great for all surfaces, including wood, fabric, ceramics, canvas, or any porous surface.
New for 2016 is a special release Muted Collection, which includes five colors — Muted Green, Muted Grey, Muted Pink, Muted Turquoise, and Muted Violet. Individually, each color has a muted, subtle character. Together, the colors create a tonal palette. The Muted Collection is intermixable with other Liquitex mediums for maximum versatility.

I find these paints to be true to color name and pigment appearance. I use both the soft and heavy body paints depending on the application. The soft bodies are smooth, consistent, without drag and work well with the Liquitex mediums. For both small and large works, they are a quality product.
Heavily pigmented white is a must, Liquitex delivers!!!
from Ventura, CA
White is an important color for an artist, this is the colors I go thru more than any other. Liquitex soft body is just right for the painting method I use, just enough fluidity but not too much.

I learned to use these paints while working as a staff artist at Habersham Furniture years ago. Now I use them exclusively for my fine art. Smooth finish, fairly matte, lots of detail possible. Plus intense pigments. I only wish you had TUBES of Ultramarine Blue in Red Shade, since this is the blue-red on my palette (Pthalo is the green-red.) I dislike the little bottles since they dry up too soon and I can never get the rest of the paint out of the bottom--I prefer squeezing tubes! I'm a professional dog portraitist, especially gun dogs...

I love these paints
from San Jose, CA
I've been using hard body acrylics to do portrait painting for a while and I never really thought about it. I just assumed that the process of mixing in water to soften up the paint was part of the process. Then one day an artist friend of mine told me that he used Liquitex soft body. I said what's that? And he said to just go and buy some and so I did. Now I will never uses anything else. Soft body is a joy to work with especially for mixing subtle differences in flesh tone for the tiniest patches. And Luiquitex is the best. Their soft is always high quality and I know the pieces I create will last.
I continue to buy these yummy paints

The range of colors is great. They work well in so many applications.Wish they were less money
This product is wonderful
This paint is wonderful for crafting, it doesn't leave the brush marks like other paints do.

Love the soft body muted colors!
from Homer Glen, Il.
The soft body muted collection is incredible. They spread easily and the color is consistent. Thin enough to use as grass or leaves. Muted violet makes a great wash without having to thin the paint much. I used the coupon to lower the price since they were not on sale. Great price for a awesome product.

Muted colors used as a background wash.

I love the creamy consistency and rich color. I prefer not to thin my paint in any way. I rarely use a wash. So if you like to work with washes, you might not like this used straight. I've heard that some people like to make their paint go further by using medium but these paints go a long way right out of the bottle, surprisingly. I don't work big. Usually no more than 11 by 14. If I worked large I would probably have to go a different way.

Great product for my crafts
This product works well for my rosemaling painting on wooden items. The coverage is great, it is easy to paint with and is permanent.
