When applied over white surfaces or light colors, Liquitex Interference Acrylics are translucent. Over black or dark surfaces, they appear as brilliant pastel colors.

Unusual visual effects are created when colors are applied to transparent and translucent surfaces. When mixed with Liquitex Medium, they create luminescent fluid glazes.

I've applied to a textured sandblasted glass piece. I wanted to get deeper rich color. Even with its beautiful iridescent shine, I wanted to know if you recommend a clear shiny gloss finish? Love the paints and plan on ordering more.

These are really nice for glazing, but I would have preferred color with more of a punch. Amped up color is what I go for. I've read you can increase the color intensity by adding black (?) or just more of the interference color. Also you can mix with polymer gloss medium or some glitter for extra kick.

I have the orange, blue, gold, green and violet.

I experiment with both texture and color - using these "Liquitex Interference Colors" allows me to experiment with good paints with good value! You might want to try these colors over unusual texture and a base other than black - they can really be interesting.As always, the service from Blick's is superb. [...]
