I am just experimenting with impasto for the first time, and I really enjoy these paints! I didn't know what I was missing using regular acrylics. This starter set is fun because it has a nice color range, with warm and cool choices for each, the new quinacrodones, and the tubes are big enough to do a few medium sized paintings, rather than the 11 ml. tubes that give you enough for one.

As a portrait artist I need reliable deep pigment for blending natural looking colors. These pigments are great. Dick Blicks prices are over half of any in store's I could find.

Liquitex heavy body acrylic paints are always reliable and of the utmost quality. I get fantastic results with them! I've tried the majority of artist quality acrylics and Liquitex remains my staple. Many of the colors are nicer than those offered by higher-priced brands. They are a real pleasure to work with. Highest recommendations!

liqui[*] artist acrylic paint should be student grade paint. The body and feel is horrible and the color shift is horrible. The Winsor & Newton student grade paint is 10 millions better then this junk. Don't waste your money this junk. If you want top shelf acrylic paints get Winsor & Newton Artist Acrylics.

I've been using these paints for years and love the way they respond to a palet knife as well as the way they move with a brush. They're thick enough to stay where you want them and very durable. I've got paintings decades old that have been stored in all kinds of conditions and still look great. My friends think I'm odd but I just won't use anything else.

Use these acrylics every time I paint. These smaller tubes have a great consistency, great hue saturation, and a wide variety of pigments.

I've been painting since I was a little kid and this is the best most consistent brand of acrylics. Because they come in plastic tubes the tubes don't crack and leak, or dry out- I just finished off a tube I had had for almost 20 years! A little goes a long way because they're so packed with pigment.

To kill the plasticy finish of them I use Liquitex gesso as mixing white- it mattes the finish is wonderfully opaque.

I was working on a 30x40 painting that required lots of texture. I did a lot of research and this was the best I found! It covers really well, relatively fast drying. I had lots of fun working with this paint!
