Liquitex Basics Brushes are the perfect complement to Liquitex Basics acrylic paints, other brands of acrylic paint, and even water-mixable oil colors.
These long-handled white nylon brushes are durable, easy to clean, and hold ample amounts of color. Their medium-soft bristles provide the ideal responsiveness for soft-bodied to medium-bodied acrylics, and their economical price makes them perfect for students, amateurs, or professionals.
Liquitex Basics Brushes are available in five popular shapes and a range of sizes.
Brush sizes — The length and width of a brush of a given shape and size may vary by manufacturer as brush sizes are not standardized. Since fine art brushes are handmade, expect some variation even among brushes from within a single brush line.
Shipping Note — Due to manufacturer distribution restrictions, Liquitex products cannot be shipped to addresses outside of North America.

Comments about Liquitex Basics Fan Brushes:
These brushes are great. They are brushes that stand the test of time. I love the way they feel when I use them and I love how sleek and slender they are. I've had no problems. It's an all around great purchase

Strong, beautifully shaped brushes. I use them for acrylic paintn and have no problems with them (except the paint comes off of the handle). Will buy again.

Comments about Liquitex Basics Round:
I use the Liquitex Basic Round 2 brush for white inks on my comic work, and it works really well. I can get some fairly thin lines with this brush, but the Round 2 seems to run a little larger than other round 2 brushes, at least from what I've seen. The only issue with these brushes is that the bristles don't seem to last too long and start splintering apart at the base, but that could just be improper care on my part. These brushes have very very long handles, which I actually like a lot. It doesn't get in the way or cause any problems, even for someone like me with small hands.DickBlick has the absolute best price on these brushes, too.

This is the best brush I have ever bought. Cleans nicely after use with acrylic paint. Paint goes on smoothly. I'm really happy I bought this brush and hope to buy more!
Made me a small fortune!

I make, for sale, facials and was finding it difficult to find an applicator that would distribute a thin layer of product on the face. Then I ran across these little beauties. Not only do they distribute an even, thin layer, they don't eat up the product. What I once sold was a single application has now become three applications and my sales soared! Thank you Liquitex!!!

First impressions can be wrong!

I was prepared to hate all over these brushes after my spouse and I bought several of them, and they arrived with flimsy-feeling, warped handles. I sighed, threw mine in my bamboo brush cup, and figured you get what you pay for. I didn't bother touching these brushes until this evening. I had some detail painting to do on a tropical background for fan-anime, and needed a size 1 flat. The second I started painting I realised what a treasure I had in my hand. The bristles were stiff, snappy(!) and kept their shape even when wet. I was ecstatic when I found out that the grade of white Taklon which Liquitex is using in these even stays stiff after washing, which is more than I can say for my beloved Princeton brushes. Stiff bristles are good, since I do a large amount of tapping and blotting, (I'd call it stippling except I'm applying paint, not lifting it) and scrubbing and scumbling. I am still deducting points because these brushes are truly ugly looking with their cheap silver paint and warped handles,(one looks like you could use it for a bow!) but they are a surprisingly good value in spite of that. The business end of these brushes, which is what counts, is all business, and that makes me a happy painter. Now, if only Liquitex could only improve the handles (without changing a thing on the bristles!!!), they would get an unhesitating five stars from me....

I've been looking for "my favorite brushes," (for acrylic) and thought I'd give Liquitex Basics a try. In terms of look, i.e. the shape of the round brush, and the handle--I found myself repeatedly grabbing it (I bought a lot of trial brushes at one time!)--only to repeatedly come away with "too soft," as my verdict.
