An archival standard for flat filing, these drop-front storage boxes provide easy access to precious items such as maps, prints, photographs, and newspapers.
The archival-quality black boxes are made from a sturdy, 60 pt, acid-free, scuff-resistant board that is buffered with 3% calcium carbonate to suppress the migrant acidity that results from the environment and from excessive handling. The interior is lined with white paper that has a pH of approximately 8.5.
The boxes also feature adhesive-free, metal-edge construction for additional protection and stacking strength.
The drop-front is on the long dimension.

Perfect for my grandmother's cookbook
from Missoula, MT
Comments about Lineco Museum Storage Boxes:
After having my grandmother's cookbook (from 1917) restored, I needed a museum-quality box for storage. The Lineco box is the perfect size, and with Lineco Acid-Free Tissue, offers protection for my treasure. Shipping costs were also reasonable for my small order.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I bought this box to store my drawings. I'm pleased with the size and the construction of this box. It seems very durable and is easy to open and close. There's ample room in it that will provide enough space for my artwork. I have some cheaper boxes like this that are easily crushed/damaged. I plan on transfering all my artwork from them to this one and possibly buying another in the future.
Just what I wanted at a good price.

Mostly use for storing my black and white photographs, but trying it for my old wedding gown that was my Mother's (over 75 years old)
Excellent product. Very light weight but sturdy.
from COLORADO (CO)
I store my original drawings in one box, and the matted giclees of my art in 3 other boxes. Easy to handle.
One hundred years of photos protected
I have previously purchased one of these and really liked it, but I ran out of room and also want to do more sorting, so I bought several more. I have photos that range from over 100 years old to present day and need protections. They also need to be where future generations can collect and copy them. The Linco boxes are smart looking and sturdy. I think they are a very good buy.
Great Boxes for Family Treasures
from Long Beach, CA
I recently inherited boxes of my father's and grandmother's old family pictures. They had been stored in regular cardboard boxes. These Museum Storage Boxes are perfect to keep these wonderful family treasures for years to come.
Safe storage for watercolor paintings

This is good to store watercolor paintings in an archival way. It s sturdy and protective. It could be better if it were a bit easier to open and close.
Protection for antique book
I purchased this box to protect a book published in Japan in the 1880's. I purchased this box because it is made of archival materials, that it has a side that opens to slide the book into the box, and that the corners are reinforced with metal. I researched several boxes of several manufacturers - Blick's price was the most reasonable by far, with comparable or better quality, and Blick offered a range of sizes that better fit my needs. I have a collection of antique textiles and books to protect, and for this purpose I would purchase archival boxes from Blick again.

Lineco Museum Storage Boxes Made in USA
from Central Massachusetts
I have purchased three sizes of these lightweight, sturdy, acid-free, storage boxes for keeping my fine art photography prints. They proudly declare that their full line of products is produced in a renovated turn of the century mill in Chicopee Massachusetts for over 30 years. " Lineco began by producing high quality artist's paper pads and sketchbooks and distributing them into the art materials marketplace. Not long after the line was broadened to serve the needs of picture framers and book binders as well as artists. In so doing, a pedigree -- and an archival benchmark - was born." I use many of their archival products in the production of my final materials.
