Lefranc & Bourgeois extra-fine vinyl-based paint dries evenly with intense coverage to a uniform, velvety matte, opaque finish.
Highly pigmented, Flashe may be diluted with water to create a range of results, from highly opaque to a transparent watercolor effect.
Use Flashe Vinyl Paint indoors or out on canvas, paper, or walls, with brushes, paint guns, or sponges. The supple film offers good adherence and resistance to weather — ideal for fresco and wall painting, faux finishes, theater decorations, and more.

This is the most versatile paint that I buy.
from Castle Rock, Colorado
This paint is fantastic, diluted it becomes a wash full strength it will cover almost any other color. And it never loses its color intensity. Well worth the little extra money.

have heard about Flashe Paint off and on for some time. finally decided to try it. i paint abstract, loose and layered, scraped and reapplied etc. i'm enjoying Flashe for its opacity, coverage, matt finish when dry, quick drying time and dense colors. for my purposes it works great. love using it!
The pigments are amazing!!! I would buy them again and again

I am a visual artist, my paintings have a higher quality since I use them. Fluorescent colors are very consistent.

Matte they are. Opaque?
Well, it is VERY matte. That gets 5 stars. But the opacity varies greatly with the color. White is NOT opaque, at least in my experience. I have a pale violet that IS opaque. Others, like I said, vary. So, if one is attempting to create single pass opaque lines, areas, etc over another color or pattern...good luck.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
love the colors and finish
from Los Angeles
I love these colors and this product. I was painting with acrylics and had problems with my allergies. When use the Flashe I don't have these issues. I love how the product comes in jars. If you leave the jar open for a few minutes it doesn't dry up. I love that it doesn't change colors when it dries. My most difficult problem with acrylics beside the allergies had to do with the acrylic paint changing colors as it dried. There are none of these problems. I love how it is flat.. rather than shiny.
Very high quality water-based paint
from Long Island, NY
Flashe is a heavily-pigmented paint that dries rapidly and has a very matte finish. It applies like acrylic And doesn't have acrylic's plastic-like finish. It canbe used at full strength or diluted.
My new favorite paint.

I truly enjoy working with this paint product. I love the fluid consistency. I found I can easily thicken it with acrylic gel when desired. The opaque pigments give perfect coverage. I have also made the paint more transparent by adding clear gel or glazing medium when needed. I plan to continue to work with this brand of paint. It appears to be exactly what I have been looking for.

Works a differently than acrylic paint and dries flat (depends on your look). I like that it dries fast and has that flat look. Can use polymers with it. Like the color range and I like to mix my own colors, nice shades.

Favorite Brand - A Canadian Review
from Edmonton AB
Fellow Canadians - this stuff is fantastic. I am going to shed light on the costs though. On top of the American/Canadian exchange rate, high international shipping costs, this stuff is made in France so there are going to be duty charges and GST costs to cover for this paint when it arrives at your door. In the end the cost for us Canucks is pretty much double when all is said and done. Knowing that - I love this stuff. If you don't want to fall in love and pay the piper on this - run away and don't look back. Once you start it's a gateway to a whole new realm of paint desire. The colors are stunning. The fluorescent colors are perfection - I especially love the Bengal Red and Grenadine...really unique vibrant colors. I find the black to be very matte - almost a graphite flat black. Fluorescent white is not very opaque but works well to lighten colors and maintain translucent tones.
