Lascaux Studio Acrylics offer excellent lightfastness, brilliance, and intensity at an economical price. Their creamy consistency and uniform satin finish make them perfect for murals, large scale painting, and decorative work.
All colors are opaque and lightfast. They will not bleed or change hue when overpainted. They mix easily into all Lascaux Mediums, and can be mixed with Lascaux Artist Acrylics.

The only brand I use
Comments about Lascaux Studio Acrylics:
Though the price has gone up lately I still have not found acrylics comparable to Lasceaux. I have been using them for over 15 years. Have tried others now and then but the body is just not the same. I have also tried the Lasceaux in the tubes but actually prefer the Studio, though it might have been the color (red) I tried.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Lascaux Acrylics are Superb!
By Curt Chiarelli
from Portland, Oregon
As a commercial artist for nearly thirty years, I've always been disappointed in the performance of artist-grade acrylics - their flatness/lower pigmentation load, low opacity/poor covering power, tacky texture and glossy, plastic look never justified their cost in my opinion. As a result, I changed over to oils and gouache as my go-to media of choice when doing color, two-dimensional work.Enter Lascaux Studio Acrylics. Although no acrylic paint that I know of will ever be able to match the unique qualities found in oils, Lascaux acrylics have successfully pushed the envelope of what acrylics and gouache can achieve. These paints are an unmitigated joy to use! And don't let the label "studio" dissuade you from buying them. These are NOT student-grade paints. They are professional-grade in handling properties: richness of pigmentation, excellent opacity/covering power and remarkably low in cost. For those of you meeting and beating a tough deadline, you'll love the matte/satin finish of these paints. While not quite as matte as gouache, its glare reduction and negligible/nonexistent color shift after drying will be a welcome relief for tired eyes. The only other criticism I have for this line would be concerning the fairly limited range of available colors. Although it would be nice to have more choices available, the current range is more than sufficient to get the job done!

Best fluid acrylic
from San Francisco, CA
Highly pigmented, creamy consistency, opaque colors. Works well for fluid, expressive work.

The Lascaux Studio line is the best in its class -- unrivaled opacity (in the darker shades, brighter shades are semi-opaque) and finish. These paints dry to an ultra-matte, rubbery finish. If that's the look you're after then look no further. I have tried everything else and Lascaux is my choice for large, matte, opaque areas of color.

A delight to work with!
Tried these for the first time today. Creamy and smooth, they had excellent coverage...the best I've used so far. A little seemed to go a long way.The best thing was how easy it was to get solid, even coverage without telltale brushstrokes showing.Pricier than I have been used to using, but the difference can definitely be seen in their performance.
Lascaux Artist Acrylics are known as a premier, professional artist paint. In fact, these paints and mediums are used in all restoration departments and major museums across Europe. See for yourself why these paints are so special.
