Welcome to dickblick
Lascaux acrylic paints are milled to have the body and texture of fine oils. Intensely pigmented, these colors are extraordinarily lightfast and completely resistant to aging. They have exceptional covering power too.
All colors dry to an equally satin surface which is insoluble in water. They layer very well, with no shrinking, oxidation, yellowing, or cracking even in the thickest layers.
Each label is hand-painted to accurately show the color inside. Colors come in 45 ml (1.5 oz) tubes. Many colors are also available in a 200 ml (6.8 oz) tube.

Feels like oil, colors vibrant
Comments about Lascaux Artist Acrylics:
This acrylic paint "feels" like oil paint is I work with it. The colors are vibrant and consistent with my expectations. The price is right for the value.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

These are by far the best quality acrylics I've ever used.
Lascaux acrylics can be applied in thin transparent even layers as well as more opaquely. They mix well with Lascaux mediums and maintain a creamy consistency. Highly recommended.

My favorite paints
from Tulsa, OK
These paints are highly saturated and have some of the most vivid colors I've found. A little goes a long way. I use the paints right out of the tube for color consistency and purity on the canvas. The paints are smooth and similar to toothpaste in weight. I love painting with these, so glad I found this brand

Not the cheapest paint for classroom use, however the quality of the pigment makes it worth the price.

THE ALEXANDER HARDCOREARTIST REVIEW ON LASCAUX
FIRST THING FIRST -I GRADE HARD! I WAS CLASSICALLY TRAINED IN ANATOMY AND USED OIL PAINT.I LIKE ACRYLICS BECAUSE THEY DONT SMELL,AND THEY DRY FAST! BUT OILS ARE RICHER! SO HERE WE GO! LASCAUX CREAMY,GOOD COVERAGE,DRIES FAST,NICE COLOR,GREAT FINISH! I MAKE PRINTS OF MY WORK, AND THE GUYS THAT SHOOT MY WORK LIKE THE MATTE FINSH BECAUSE THERE IS ALMOST NO GLARE. THE STUDIO 85 MILL BOTTLES ARE A SATIN FINISH,BUT ARE NOT BAD. I FEEL THE 932 PURPLE/RED IS A GREAT 50/50. THE 135 VIOLET IS JUST RIGHT,NOT BLACK. THE 191 WHITE,IS WHITE, NOT COOL,NOR YELLOW. THE LIGHT ORANGE 121 AND LIGHT CAD YELLOW 112 ARE NICE AND BRIGHT FOR SUNNY SCENES. I ONLY HAVE ONE COMPLANT ABOUT LASCAUX: THE FLESH TONES FOR PAINTING FIGURES! WHERE ARE THEY!?... EXAMPLE- LATIN WOMEN, LIGHT SKIN BLACK WOMEN, VERY TAN WHITE WOMEN, LIKE CALIFORNIA GIRLS. I NEED A MIDDLE TONE, LIKE THE LIQUITEX GRIS TAUPE.IF LASCAUX WANTS TO COMPETE WITH OTHER BRANDS THEY NEED TO FILL THAT HUGE GAP! I HAD TO USE OTHER PAINTS FROM BLICK TO FILL THIS PROBLEM AND THAT IS WHY I COULD NOT GIVE THEM 5 STARS. ON INSTAGRAM I AM UNDER HARDCOREARTIST, IF YOU WANT TO SEE WHAT I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DO WITH 90% OF LASCAUX PAINTS. THANK YOU

Now a believer

I have worked with various media from egg tempera to pastel. I tried acrylic once but did not want to use it again mostly because of its "plastic" nature. But an artist friend who has used Lascuax paints for years and loves its performance convinced me to try once again. Now I believe that description when I read about its attributes. It is still acrylic paint but with such a difference.
Lascaux Artist Acrylics are known as a premier, professional artist paint. In fact, these paints and mediums are used in all restoration departments and major museums across Europe. See for yourself why these paints are so special.
