Impasto Gels 1 and 2 — Lascaux's Impasto Gels are thick, transparent gels used to give acrylic colors more body and volume. They may be mixed into paints or over-painted for a variety of results. Also try them for embedding heavyweight collage materials. They dry to a waterproof film that is lightfast and crack-resistant, even when applied in thick layers. Impasto Gel 1 dries to a transparent gloss film, while Impasto Gel 2 dries to a semi-transparent matte film. The two gels can be intermixed to achieve customized sheen levels.

Mediums 1, 2, and 3 — These fluid mediums are made with pure acrylic resin emulsion (Mediums 2 and 3 also contain silicic acid). Mix them with acrylic paints to increase transparency and adhesion, slow drying time, and extend yield. Lightfast, colorless, and age-resistant, they are ideal for creating glazes and also excellent for embedding lightweight collage materials. Medium 1 dries to a waterproof, clear gloss film and may be used as a final varnish (though it dries to a softer film than Lascaux Varnish). Medium 2 dries to a waterproof matte film and is also excellent as a colorless sizing or primer for canvas and paper. It is not recommended for use as a varnish. Medium 3 dries to a waterproof, transparent, satin matte film and will not change the sheen of the paint when added to acrylics. It may be used as a final satin gloss varnish.

Modeling Pastes A, B, and C — Lascaux Modeling Pastes are suitable for creating reliefs, impastos, and textured or fresco-like surfaces, as well as for embedding collage materials. Paste A is a finely ground paste that dries to a smooth, sandable finish. Paste B incorporates approximately 33% silica sand and dries to a rough surface. Paste C uses larger grains of silica sand for an even rougher texture. All Modeling Pastes come in your choice of three colors — Natural, Black Earth, or Mineral Gray.

Retarders — Lascaux Retarder and Retarder Ultra increase the open time of acrylic paints, allowing you to execute techniques that are normally limited to oils. Retarder Ultra has a higher viscosity than regular Retarder.

Structura Light Modeling Paste — This ultra-lightweight and absorbent modeling paste holds stiff peaks with minimal color alteration. It features a fine-grained, sandable surface that is flexible and hard when dry. Its lighter weight makes it ideal for large-scale applications. Also try it as a ground for pastels. It is offered in your choice of three colors — White, Black Earth, or Gray.
