Technology meets tradition in this sumi brush fountain pen. The Kuretake Brush Pen is exquisitely designed in Japan, with super-fine nylon bristles for smooth, controlled strokes. It's supplied with three jet black ink cartridges.
Keep the pen cap securely in place when pen is not in use to protect the nib from drying out. If the nib does dry, run it under luke warm water. Pat dry and replace cap.
Only use Kuretake cartridges with this pen. Use once, then discard. Attempting to refill the cartridges may result in leaking.
Box of 5, with jet black ink.

Worth the money
This brush pen might seem pricey at first but it's well worth it. Amazing quality pen, I've had mine for about a month now and the brush tip has kept its shape perfectly, it creates nice smooth lines and is much easier to control than most brush pens. I would definitely recommend this over any other brush pen.

Perfect for gesture drawings
from San Antonio
I bought this pen to use it for simple action drawing, and it has delivered tenfold. The nylon bristles make for a good, smooth line and great control! I can't wait to use it when sketching outside.

Sketcher's Must Have

A truly useful and elegant tool for the sketch artist. It's portable and the ink flow is perfect for expressive drawings without the drag that often happens with other pens. Lines can be thin or thicker without having to switch to another nib. I love this pen.

A fun and high-quality brush pen
By Stacy Creates
from Tucson, Arizona
I am new to brush pens, but I appreciate them as a really convenient, hassle-free, and relatively inexpensive way to get varying line width in you ink lines for drawing and sketching (compared to a dip pen or a flexible nib fountain pen or a brush and ink bottle). I have a Pentel Pocket brush but hadn't taken to it, finding it a little "much" and a bit difficult to control. I had read good reviews of this pen so to fill out an order to obtain free shipping I decided to give this one a shot. I am happy I did because I am taking to this brush pen much better. I feel I can really control the line width, from a tiny thin line to a much bolder one. The flow is just right. I paint over my ink drawings with watercolor afterwards, so I filled a Platinum ink converter with Platinum Carbon Black and installed it in the Kuretake brush pen right away (rather than one of the provided ink cartridges which contain water-soluble ink). It works perfectly!
