Krylon Gesso Spray provides a quick way to prepare a smooth, hard, ready-to-paint surface on canvas, board, plaster, wood, or cloth. This surface is bright white and non-yellowing.

Apply gesso in thin coats, 30 seconds apart. Using a gesso spray saves time and eliminates brush strokes, sanding, and brush clean up.

One 11 oz (311 g) can covers approximately 20 square feet (about 2 square meters).

Krylon Gesso Spray conforms to the health labeling requirements of ASTM D-4236. Use only as directed.

Caution — Follow safety instructions carefully. Not suitable for use by children. Shipping restrictions apply to hazardous materials.

I was priming masonite with this Krylon spray gesso for oil painting. It smells horrible, long after it's dry too. It gets on everything in sight, you need to wear full plastic suit, mask and cover everything around you or it'll just make an incredible mess. It got on my trigger finger and burned! Total waste of my money and time, not to mention health risks.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This was the easiet to use gesso. I used it on a gourd and will continue to use this form of gesso in the future. The entire gourd club was impressed. On the not so good side is the fact it is virtually unobtainable anywhere in my area. Had to go online which fortunately was quick albeit it incurs shipping charges.

I use this product as a final prep for oil painting surfaces . With pre- primed canvas or board , to make sure there are no contaminents (oils @ silicones)from assembly line packing on painting surface before starting piece . This product won't seal the oils , but it lets you know that the media is no good before you try to use it . In the case of no oils on media , you wind up with a smoother more durable surface to paint on. Only drawback to product is that spray tips are prone to clogging . Usually can be cleared with small safty pin inserted into tip firmly . Test on another surface before resuming use in case of drips .

This product went on smooth and covered; no brush strokes; dries superfast; excellent base coating for my 3D models! Saves time, no mess! It doesn't get any better than this!!!
