Crystal Clear Acrylic Coating protects and seals surfaces painted with Krylon faux finish paints, such as Make it Stone and Make it Pearl.
Just spray the sealer directly on an object to create a tough, satin finish and provide outdoor durability and moisture resistance. The spray is fast drying with a dry to touch time of 10 minutes and a dry to handle time of two hours.
For use with wood, metal, wicker, plastic, glass, ceramic, paper, paper maché, dried and silk flowers, and plaster.

Comments about Krylon Crystal Clear Acrylic Coating:
I make necklace pendants out of plaster and seal them with Krylon Crystal Clear. The clear sealer coats any kind of surface (acrylic paint, watercolor, stone effect paint), turns rock hard (no tackiness!), and imparts a beautiful luster to the finished product. I LOVE this stuff. It's quick and easy to use -- no recoat time, and sprays soft and evenly, even when stored for months. I am a big fan of this product.

A Shining Idea

I work with ceramics and usually paint with acrylics - when the pieces are completed, I spray Krylon Crystal Clear Acrylic Coating to give a finish or simulate being fired. This clear coating is the best product I've found for this process.

I've used this product for years. While it's true, you have to watch the distance from your piece when spraying, and take time between coats, it is in a class by itself in terms of the finish. I've used it to camouflage "speckles and spots" left by the inadvertent "spitting" of other clear finishing sprays. A student recently forgot to test-spray before adding fixative to her finished piece and it appeared ruined until we merely took time to coat it with Krylon Crystal Clear. From final coats on a colored pencil drawing to prevent "bloom", to a top coat on a previously "ruined" and spotted drawing, or a glaze coat on ceramics, and more...this product is one I won't do without.

I have to admit that I haven't used many different sealants in my short creative career, but this sealant is bad. Maybe it was the weather (doubt it) or maybe it was the material (vinyl), but it has been sticky for about a month. I held the trigger for two one or two second bursts on the face of my customized doll, to protect the work I did on her face. Other sealants that I've used have dried immediately. I've had to put the doll in a closet to prevent it from getting dirty while it waits for a home.
