Just What I Wanted!

I wanted a this product to use on a re-creation of something from the 1940's. This was the only place I could find it.

Getting ready to move and all those boxes going to storage in the meantime! Wow! We are sealing and strengthening all the book boxes with the Kraft butcher's tape so that they wont have any chance to come apart. It also seals out any possible critters that might find their way into the storage unit. Thanks for making this easily available!

I used this paper tape for stretching my paper. I tried about 10 times and used a variety of quality papers. Non of it worked. During the drying process the tape would let go over and over again. It was super frustrating. This tape is not at all what paper tape used to be.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Does the job

Works as it should. IT holds the wet paper in place while the paper dries.
Had trouble keeping them stuck.
I've used this type of tape before (different brand) and never had problems with it not sticking. But this time around, the tape would not stay stuck to the arches 300lbs. I had to redo the same sheet 6 times, tried less water, more water, put heavy books to press it down, and lastly just added no water to the tape directly, only the water from the paper, and it almost worked except 2 sides still did not stick, I ended up using a little white glue to keep the tape stuck to the paper. It's a good thing I was using arches watercolor paper which is VERY durable and of high quality otherwise I would've also wasted 6 sheets of paper aside from the tape. The stickiness goes away complete a lot of the time with this brand. Even with minimal water it was still coming loose.
