I like this pen over line pens, or felt tip pens
from Fortuna, Calif.
I use this pen for drawing, pen & ink, mixed media. It gives me a better feel for my work, and is more versatile than other types of pens available today.
Rapidograph sketch pens

I love these ink pens I use the for stippling art of pet portraits and home renderings. I have to say that 2 of the ink pens will not work I think the pump inside is not working so I end up not getting much work done with both .25 tip pens I had to use my old pen which is the same pen I ordered this is the first time in 3 years I've had a problem with this pen. The other 2 work great out of the 4 I ordered.

I've used (and still have on my desk) three iterations on the .35 KOH-I-NOOR RAPIDOGRAPH and RAPIDOLINER pens. The technical pen dating back 25+ years is a finicky beast and you can easily damage the nib when using (I stipple profusely) and/or cleaning. The next generation was the RAPIDOLINER which was cool at the time because when you needed ink - you had no choice but to replace the nib as well - it was a single unit barrel. But this proved expensive and looking back with a 2016 "go green" mentality - a bit wasteful as well. This new RAPIDOSKETCH pen - though I've only been using it a few days - seems to strike a terrific balance. Refillable ink, dedicated nib made of stainless steel and solid build quality. It seems to marry the two older technologies well. The result is a solid performing pen, easy to fill etc. Obviously I hold onto my stuff because I take care of it. How this one goes down in history is hard to tell - but given I have my originals going back quite far - I suspect this one will be a winner as well. If something changes I'll certainly update the review.
I love this pen
from San Diego, CA
The reason I like this pen is that it does not clog up on me. It is great for sketching and comes with its own ink. It is easy to refill. It is waterproof and perfect for painting over the ink. I can also paint in watercolor and use the pen over the watercolor.
Best drawing pen anywhere.
Used to draw pen and ink drawings. Have used these pens for over 20 years. The maker will replace pens that become difficult for many reasons.I never will use other make ink pens.
Love this pen!
I carry this pen with my sketchbook because I like it's durability and its consistent line. It comes with it's own ink which is a plus. It is my primary sketch pen. I have used felt type pens that always break on me or the point goes right into the pen when I use pressure. I eliminate the problem by using the Rapido Sketch pen. I think the pen is different from the other Koh-i-nor pens because the sketch pen doesn't clog on me. I love this pen. If I lose it I immediately replace it.
Koh-I-Noor Rapido Sketch Pen
This pen was less expensive in the catalog than I would pay at the local art store with their 40% discount. My regret is it didn't come will the black washer to tighten and loosen the nib end for filling and cleaning.

I got this pen to try out techical pens without having to drop a huge sum of money. I use it for inking straight lines and sometimes to touch up work.It seems like a good pen to me, though a little scratchy if you're heavy handed. Otherwise it's very smooth. The ink flows good, and I've never experienced a clog with normal use over the past couple of months. It can be a little difficult to take apart for cleaning, the O ring in particular likes to be finicky. But I don't think it's a huge deal, my understanding that that's just part of what you get with technical pens.
Best .25mm Pen!
I have used many different technical pens over the years with the RAPIDOGRAPH being the most reliable for me. This time I noticed the RapidoSketch and decided to give it a try instead of ordering a .25mm RAPIDOGRAPH nib replacement. In the web photo the RapidoSketch looked as if the pen nib and body were both of metal- The pen body is in fact plastic like a RAPIDOGRAPH although slightly different structurally. The clear plastic body allows one to see the ink flow right up to the pen point. The RapidoSketch handles well with good weight and balance. One factor about this pen is I have found its ink to come down faster after filling. With a .25mm RAPIDOGRAPH it usually takes five to ten minutes to get the ink flowing- sometimes longer; with this RapidoSketch it took only three minutes to have the regular flow going. Thus far my only "dislike" is an aesthetic one - I wish that the pen was not brown! If it had a total clear pen cap and handle that would make it perfect!
