I bought these as part of a research project into color pencils for recommending to students. They are definitely a match for my old Berol Prismacolor pencils. These pencils have oil rather than wax in the leads. The colors lay down smoothly with very little pressure and blend nicely. The color range is a match for other sets. It is unfortunate that you cannot purchase individual colors in the US. I have other Koh-I-Noor pencils and these are a good addition.

I love these colored pencils. They blend beautifully and have nice colors. However, I find Prismacolor hues much more vibrant.

save money for nicer colors
Colored Pencils are my main medium for drawing. I have all the big sets of the major brands and also the not so well known brands. Have set of 120 Polychromos and 120 Pablos and also a set of 72 Koh-i-noors Polycolors. These pencils have all the things you can want from a good pencil like, rich laydown, easy to blend, dondt break easy and so on BUT: the most importend part of a colored pencil is the color itself. And this is where these pencil disappoint in my opinion. The colors are nearly so identical to each other so i think the varity of used pigments are not high. There are many oranges but they looks all the same. The main Problem is that no really dark colors can find here. No dark red. The darkest blue is even to light for my taste and in comparison to other brands. So from the big set of 72 colors 30 are usefull and the rest just fills the gap. So try a set of the better brands like Pablos etc. The colors are all usefull. Nice deep dark hues and bright highs ans all in beetween. But the color range of the koh-i-noors are not that usefull as you may think. For the price they are ok and i recommend them to colored pencil beginners to get warm with the medium, but after a while a set of 80 or 120 better colors is the way to go.
