Very nice lead holder.
Comments about Koh-I-Noor Kin Adapto Lead Holder:
I use this for my main drawing pencil. Well made and durable, it doesn't warp over time like the plastic ones.

Same Problem as Tom - Grip tension is lost after a few month
from Philadelphia, PA
Have gone through two of these 5616's in just four months. The tension in the grip quickly breaks down leaving the holder unusable.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

LEAD HOLDER IS PERFECT. Ligjht weight and comfortable. Can draw effortlessly for hours!!!
Poor quality, unacceptable for proffessional use
from chicago, IL
Two 5616 lead holders broke down in a span of a few months of use.Same reason: lack of tension on the pencil lead. I use drafting tools professionally every day. My previous lead holder lasted over 20 years of daily use.
Merchant response: We're sorry that this lead holder didn't hold up well for you. Please look for an email from one of our Customer Care Agents so we can take care of this issue.

Koh-i-Noor vs. Prismacolor Turquoise
from Portland, OR
I bought a Koh-i-Noor Kin Adapto Lead Holder (22863-1001) and a Prismacolor Turquoise Lead Holder (20601-0000).Weight: without lead, Prismacolor is 10 grams while Koh-i-Noor is 27 grams. Prismacolor feels more like holding a pencil. Diameter of the lead holding mechanism tip: 3 to 4 mm for Prismacolor and 4 to 6mm for Koh-i-Noor. You can tilt the Prismacolor closer to horizontal than the Koh-i-Noor. The Koh-i-Noor's larger lead holding tip prevents the holder to be used at shallower angles.
