The Klopfenstein Tilt-Top Art Table, with its solid construction and versatility, is a favorite among professionals and schools.
The Klopfenstein Tilt-Top Art Table features a center upright and welded base that are fabricated of heavy 2" (5 cm) square metal. The base measures 28"W × 17"D (71 cm × 43 cm) and the upright attaches securely to the base.
The spring-assisted top is sturdy ¾" (2 cm) solid core melamine with a smooth surface and rounded corners. The top telescopes from 32" to 45" (81 cm to 114 cm) in height and pivots 180°. A metal edge stop keeps materials from sliding off and drops below the top surface when not in use. Dual-pivot bracket clamping knobs provide slip-proof positioning of the top at any tilt angle.
Multiple tables nest together for compact storage. Assembly is required.

Comments about Klopfenstein Tilt-Top Art Table:
I love this table. 100% satisfied. I'm a painter and wanted something I could use vertical (like an easel) and tilted so I can rest my arm when I'm doing more detailed work. It is so easy to adjust the height and the angle. I'm 5'8" and I love that I can stand or sit at it. I have it in my living room because that's the only space I have to work. I didn't want something that took up too much space nor be an eye sore when I walked through the door. I replaced my wooden easel with it and it's honestly much cleaner looking and takes up less visual space. I am 100% happy with my purchase. On a side note, when I placed my order online and checked on the shipping, it had said it wasn't going to ship until May 10th from the warehouse in the midwest. I live on the west coast. I got a call on May 2nd from a really nice person wanting to set up a day for my delivery. They delivered it to me on May 4th. 6 days before it was even supposed to leave the warehouse. The person who delivered it was also very nice. It came very well packaged and I was able to assemble it myself. It was so easy and took probably 10 minutes. There are no flaws with this table.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

180 degrees plus a health angle
By Quality Control Paul

As it turns out, sitting is profoundly unhealthy. The more hours per day you sit, the greater your risk of cancer, diabetes, and heart disease. And, amazingly, even being athletically fit does not lower your risk if you still sit a lot when not exercising. So, to the extent that you can work standing up, you may well be preventing a premature demise, as well as possibly freeing up your art. Most standing desks seem to be premium priced, so these moderately priced drafting tables are probably the best deal you'll find. (One way to go cheaper if you work small is with an inexpensive podium.)As for the table itself, the supporting column has a spring inside that assists (noisily) in raising the table but doesn't seriously interfere with lowering it. The materials and workmanship are high quality. The biggest difference you'll experience between this table and more expensive ones is that, because it's supported only at the center, the table shakes if you're drawing or erasing vigorously. But you can dampen that by leaning your weight onto one side.Unmentioned in the assembly instructions is that you need two 7/16" wrenches (or vise grips) to put it together. The only difficult step is attaching the table top to the support column. It's not hard to figure out, but the illustration is useless, and you may need assistance.Curiously, the wood trim around the edges is minimally sanded and left unfinished. Nevertheless, this is a well designed and versatile table at reasonable cost.

The flexibility I need!
from Manchester, MI
It arrived super fast from the factory and was carefully packed and wrapped. Most of the assembly was done - I only needed to connect the top to the base. I love that the table top can be flat or vertical. It really suits my needs!

Outstanding All-Purpose Table
from Naperville, IL
This table, which is built to last a lifetime, is great for me because I can adjust it vertically for me to use sitting down or fully standing up (I'm 5' 10"), and I can tilt the top at any angle I want. I clip my light on it and do all my artwork. I also put my laptop on it and use it as a desk when I want to type in comfort. I use it as an easel of sorts. I use it as a stand. What's Great About it: Extremely sturdy construction; the larger top provides more than enough workspace for me; Vertical and horizontal adjustments provide a lot of freedom that doesn't stop at say 45 or 50 degrees, which saves my neck. Easy to install with just a couple of bolts. What's not great: My only complaint is that it has no heavy duty casters or wheels. However, it does have 4 substantial steel floor level adjustment knobs on the bottom. I bet you could find some wheels that would fit into those adjustment knob screw holes.
