Bought the product on the advice of instructor in a class on painting miniatures. It is the best money I ever spent on any art supply, bar none! I have used it many times already to make corrections in my minatures and even to "draw" with. I know I will use it forever, whether I paint large or small.

The best part of this shopping experience was actually finding the product I was looking for. The service rep who helped me in this adventure was remarkable. I do subtractive Monotypes and had a wonderful tool I was unable to find at any of the many sites I'd tried. My old one (the last of many) was at the very end of its productive life and would no longer remove or spread the etching ink cleanly. It's tip had gone flat, it's suppleness degraded. Other tools I had tried were too soft and would not move or remove the ink. My old tool was so worn there was no identifying writing on it. I had to explain what it looked and felt like. To my utter amazement (and Joy) the Rep went right to it. Fantastic!

I used the wipe out tool to blend and smooth oil pastels. I also use it to scrape off and correct my other oil pastel pieces. I tried Michaels and Hobby Lobby and none of the major retailers carried it. Definitely a necessity when working with oil pastels. Especially when the you want to work details into an oil pastel piece.

Love this! It wipes out wet oil paint far better than a knife does, and it is really nice to use to sign a wet painting - much easier than painting a signature in.

I use this tool to outline or line items in my oil paintings. In the past I have used it to make tree branches. Currently I am using the tool to outline the tin pails against the side of a barn. It wipes away the paint and I can see the line or outline that I want. Three of us use it in our art class. Our teacher also bought one.
