Welcome to dickblick
This tool is ideal for fabric painting, drawings, signing artwork, making perfectly consistent dots, line-art, and French matting. You can use this pen with acrylic paints, watercolors, oils, or ink.
Thin the paint to a watery consistency. Fill the pen using your brush tip loaded with paint. Hold it like a pen and draw evenly over the surface, allowing the paint to glide gently.
Clean the pen thoroughly after each use with the enclosed cleaning plunger and soap and water.

The answer to my signature prayers.

Comments about Kemper Fluid Writer Pen:
I wanted my signature to reflect the detail of my work. Painting it was ridiculous and using ink pens and sharpies was unacceptable. This instrument allows me to sign my work professionally.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

not worth the trouble
from Charlotte, NC
Tried to use this with diluted oils and acrylics and could not get it to flow easily for more than a couple of letters. Not easy to clean either. Not worth the money or the trouble to use.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

a surprise..really works well
from Greenville, DE
Got this to try, main use was to sigh paintings. It really works well...wish I had gotten the fine one for my use but there are other great uses for this product.
Works like a charm.
"Overpriced only because of those stupid tax and handling extras. We have to pay about 3 times the actual price when ordering from the U.S. - it's Shame. Very cool product though. The one with the fine tip requires very, very fine fluid to function well - more like ink than e.g. airbrush acrylics. The medium sized one works like a charm.

A Simple, Perfect Tool
Short of a Rapidograph, it's the only tool that makes a monoline, and you can feed it gouache and change colors frequently, which you can't with the Rapidograph. Much finer than Speedball B pens.

wonderful addition to my painting tools
By Babs Rocks
from Austell, Ga
I used this pen to wtite a message on the rocks I paint. It also is a great way to sign your art. It is very easy to use on these mostly rough surfaces.took a while for me to get the consistancy right, as I kept thinking paint instead of ink. Once I got the consistancy down, it was a breeze to use.
