Jacquard Silk Dyes are true dyes, not thinned pigment. They will not stiffen silk or mask its natural luster. These intense, rich, translucent colors may be blended directly on fabric or intermixed separately to create an infinite range of colors. Dilute with water for softer shades. Dyes are lightfast, odorless, non-toxic and can be hand washed or dry cleaned.

Set colors quickly and easily by immersing in Jacquard Dye-Set Concentrate bath for 5 minutes or, for absolutely best results, steam set.

Been painting silk burnout, and chiffon with much success. Great deal for the price and a little goes a long way, I wish it came in 6oz bottles, Steam sets nicely, with minor fading, salt effects are awesome, Does stain your hands pretty bad, so buy some good hand cleaner too!.

Blick REALLY needs to offer both these dyes and the dyeset concentrate is larger sized bottles! Otherwise, I was pleased with the product (used to dye silk dupioni), and Blick's order processing.
