Jacquard worked with Susan Pickering Rothamel to create their Piñata Color line. These are highly saturated, acid-free, transparent colors. These alcohol-based paints are indelible, and moisture-resistant when dry.
Use them on most any clean surface including glass, plastic, metal foil, metal, leather, paper, vinyl, and more. Colors can be mixed or blended.
Piñata Colors are highly versatile and can be used for a variety of applications. They are great for rubber stamping, fine art, and scrap booking. Also use Piñata Colors for faux finishing techniques, graphic, and airbrush applications as well as wood and leather staining.
Piñata Claro Extender
Mixing this solution with Jacquard Piñata Colors slows drying time and increases transparency without diluting color strength. When dropped or brushed on top of dry Piñata colors, Claro Extender creates marble-like textures and dries to a slightly less shiny finish — just like real stone!
Piñata Clean-Up Solution
Formulated especially for use with Jacquard Piñata Colors, this solution contains moisturizers that keep brushes and sponges soft and pliable. First use regular rubbing alcohol to clean off most of the color, then follow with Clean-Up Solution for the final rinse.
Piñata Colors Exciter Pack
Created with artist Susan Pickering Rothamel, this collection of eight popular shades is a great introduction to Piñata Colors. Set includes 0.5 oz (15 ml) bottles of Baja Blue, Blanco Blanco, Calabaza Orange, Mantilla Black, Passion Purple, Rainforest Green, Senorita Magenta, and Sunbright Yellow. The Exciter Pack also includes a 0.5 oz (15 ml) bottle of Clean-Up Solution.

Loved working with these highly pigmented inks!

Just what was needed
from southeastern MA
I needed semi-transparent colors to stain plexiglass. Long story, but 2 curved glass shades on sconces in a commercial building had been broken by workmen. No way to replace the shades as the fixtures are over 25 years old, but the plexiglass formed perfectly when heated and the alcohol based inks made approximating the coloration easy. I am totally pleased with the result. (I really have no way to compare quality or price, but these got the best reviews and were certainly reasonably priced.)
Brilliant, rich colors!

I think Pinata ink is the best I have tried. The colors are vivid and there seems to be more pigment to them.

Great product and fun to use

Haven't had a chance to use as much as the ranger inks. Seem more intense. Not as much variety as the ranger inks though. Extender works well. The silver and gold run really nice.

Used this with mixed media, and I like the flow and somewhat transparent coverage.
Love my ink!

I love these inks! I had bought some at a local craft store, and I like these better. Not only are there more colors to choose from, these do not have the harsh chemical smell and their consistency is a little thicker, which makes them easier for me to use than the real runny alcohol inks.

Jacquard Pinata Colors are wonderfully vibrant colors

I've been using alcohol inks for a long time but never knew that Jacquard's Pinata Colors were in that category. I've been using other brands of alcohol ink and these are now my very favorite fluid alcohol inks. The colors are more vibrant than some of the other inks I've used and the names match the color of the ink. That may sound odd but I've had to open the bottle of other brands of ink to see whether they are green or blue because the names don't describe the color. Jacquard seems to use names for their products that make sense. Baja Blue, Rainforest Green and Passion Purple fully describe the color of ink in the bottle. I'm an Art Quilter and use Jacquard products almost exclusively because the colors are always consistent from one batch to the next. I need to have the paints, dyes and inks I use be the same color in every bottle I buy or I may have to discard what I've been working on for hours when I open a new bottle and the colors don't match! I'm so pleased to have found a new brand of alcohol ink that I can rely on to get the brilliant colors that I love.
