Caused my paint mix to be to tacky for palet knife painting.
from Allegany NY
Comments about Jacquard Pearl-Ex Pigments:
I have been painting cherry blossoms with a combo of flexible molding paste and titanium white. I wanted to add a bit of glimmer. Every ratio I tried where I could still see the sparkle and stiff enough for 3d affect was too tacky and would stick to my palet knife causing strings off the petals.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Beautiful Shiny Stuff!
from Mountains of CA
I mix these into Liquitex gloss gel medium for painting, and will also just rub them onto things when doing mixed media. I've been doing that with various pigments for a long time, but am new to the Pearl-Ex. I got the Brilliant Gold and Super Copper. They are absolutely beautiful! Do not hesitate to try these!
Pearl Ex for Calligraphy
from Bailey, CO
I've gotten hooked on making ink from Pearl-Ex for pointed pen. It has a wonderful flow and comes in such gorgeous colors. It's trial and error on which colors work best for this type of work. My favorites so far are Super Russet, Silver, and Aztec Gold.
Will purschase more colors

This pigment is extremely potent when using with resin. Only requires a small amount to tint. Very good price.
Just an overall great product!
from McAllen, TX
I absolutely love this product! You can use it in so many ways to add a beautiful metallic sheen to anything. Mix it with paint, add it to resin, brush it on polymer clay, rub it on a textured painting to add highlights. It all works, and you get so much product for the cost. My favorite way to use it is to mix it with a little bit of liquid gum arabic to make my own metallic watercolors. They look beautiful and you can control the thickness and opacity depending on the amount of liquid or PearlEx you use. They even re-wet like regular watercolor.

I use this when I cast pen blanks with resin. I dye the resin then add Pearl-Ex to get a fantastic combination of colors. This product took my pen making to a higher lever. Great product!
